PROPOSED COMIC ART PROJECT AT JALAN PERHENTIAN, SENTUL, KUALA LUMPUR FOR MULTIMEDIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION Malaysia comic industry once bring a new scene of reflecting the country’s social, environment and economy image. I t has become people choice during the 80’s and 90’s due its strength in preparing latest issue which being translated i nto diagram. During that time, comic i s considered as magazine , not j ust as comic. However, time has passby and Malaysia comic i ndustry slowly d eteriorating in community eyes. This goal of t his research is to study the comic geography both locally and internationally to determine the missing platform in order to rejuvenating the comic industry. Analysis wil be done based on comic content in terms of languange, value, style and culture. The p eople’s idea a nd d emand will b e taken i nto consideration so that the comic interpretation can be broaden and enlarge its scale so that it can access people’s interest. Taking possibilities effort (campaingn, competition, g allery, etc) done b y governement body a nd non-government organization could be t aken a s tools to i ncrease comic potential in Malaysia. These scope of studies are going to be wrote down in the list of research field w hich c an b e used t o determine the rate and outcomes in rejuvenating the comic industry.

PROJECT ABSTRACT The research aim is to integrate both value of fiction art and realistic into parallel subject through programs which create a datum by organizing the element into spatial manner. This is translated into appropriate platform for the local comic artist in stimulate their creativity and expose into various kind of potential in comic. This platform also will help to create awareness towards the society and both government and non-govenrment to invest in comic industry. In long term comic perhaps will become a prominent genre in Malaysia industry and could market more local comic artist begin from this particular platform. This so-called platform is going to be a combination of studio and exhibition and aim to produce the alpha among the local comic industry

Comic is one of the best media in inteprat article and news in a digramatic way. This will eventually m ake comic i ndustry in M alaysia once rapidly increase which attract youngs and adults. Most of them spend a lot of time to read and collect them in volume as their hobby. Consist of multi-racial and society, M alaysia produce a bundant o f talented a rtist which contribute in people’s knowledge a nd c reativity. The potential can be b roaden up both locally and internationally.
