WEEK 9 READING: TITLE OF READING

Question 1: What are Durer’s rules for perspectival projection? (Maximum 100 words) All perpindiculars meet a vanishing point all parallel lines have a common vanishing point

Question 2: Describe homogenous space? (Maximum 100 words)

InOur perception is described as faulty, such that our” perception does not know the concept of infinity and hence the ultimate basis of homogeneity” for all the ele=ments or points, we perceived, theres are “mere determinations of position”

OLD QUAD ISOMETRIC

Two levels built connecting by stair case is to show potential existance of an underground word with happiness,

4

OLD QUAD ISOMETRIC WITH NOTATIONS

Extra question mark as a symbol added for showing the unknown space, which is interpretated as the main reason stoped Marcopolo exploring deeper in side the city.

5

QUAD PERSPECTIVE 1 + 2 The perspective set at this angle(when Marco polo entered the city and look and the right side) leaves generous space for both interior and exterior space which allow me to build on the geographical level.

The sencond perspective chosen at the same location but looking in a different direction, allow a combinition of view about the entire space of city. More can be focused on the environment.

6

PERSPECTIVE SCENE 1 + 2

The first scene focus on the physical objects that Marcopolo has seen when he entered the city. Sick and weak people waiting for help.tunnel and stair case was fit in a narrow space to show a sense of strees.

The second scene reflects on the word “nothing” from the story. In my interpretation, there are two levels of meaning of “nothing”. One is actually what he see through the space. Another one is about his beilf that actually there might be something, in the past, present(underground) or in the future

For both perspective, view are set in dark tone, reflecting on the desolation, dirt and mess. City was chose to be built on a pieceof swamp where creates dampness, causing people sick. Light in distance showing Marcopolo’s good wish for this destroyed landscape

WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING Complete your reading before attempting these questions:

Question 1: IWhat is the difference between autographic and allographic practice? (Maximum 100 words) Allographic arts are categorised by apiece or medium which enable tobe reprodeced or “copied” at a “distance from the author by means of notation “such that ana art is “allograpjic just insofar as it amenable to natation,” hence notation is the defining characteristics of allographic art. Whilst on the otherhand, an auto graphic art is an art which needs to contact with author.

Question 2: Why do architects need new representational techniques? (Maximum 100 words) Both allographic and autographic are intepretated as art that can not be explained entirely by architecture, music and other complex art froms. Hence morden art architecture has evovled into a complex and competitive market that drives the field of architecture and has done so far as history can remember.

FINAL DRAWINGS

Notation mainly stands out in heavy linw weights to show the entrance and the movement of Marcopolo, how he entered the city and how he left. Sense of feeling need to be dominant as well, reflecting on the figures and story happened in two scenes.
