Harmonize with animals

Class project: true, love and beauty Year: 2014

In my own view, ‘ture, love and beauty’ refers to the harmonize between human and animals. The poster composed with kolam and silhouettes. Kolam is a form of painting that drawn by rice powder which naturally coloured. It is to welcome all beings include birds and small creatures into one’s home. The animal silhouettes contain various kinds of groups such as mammals and invertebrates. In the middle of the kolam, there is a human silhouette which open his arms. The infinite pattern shows the inseparable relations and mutual respects between human and animals. And the square shape design represents harmonize and blessings. The word ‘BLESSING’ integrate into the pattern and enhance the meaning of the poster further more.

The assignment was required to create a poster with a sentence that relate to the font choosen. In my design, I choose CENTURY GOTHIC as my main font and came up with a sentence

‘Century Gothic is an Eco-friendly font that saves ink.‘

The background is a skrinked paper with words fade in colour, but only the sentence part remain normal. There is also a notification that shows the printer is out of ink.

Harmonize with animals

Class project: true, love and beauty Year: 2014 Exquisite in choosing coffee beans Our theme is to show the exquisite of Caffe Habitu. These posters composed with celebrities that famous for their beard, lips and hair. They include George Clooney, Beatles and Angelina Jolie. Part of their faces change into coffee bean shape and pattern. It shows that CAFFEE HABITU see coffee beans as important as their body parts. They pay attention to coffee beans like these celebrities pay attention to their bodies.

The style is to use different colours to seperate different sections in the booklet. All parts used a dimmed colour photo1as a background and also a contrast color circle in the first page of the section. Part 1 Introduction used a different theme to show the importance of the photo. The pages is with full coloured photos and a red coloured background. Interesting characters also created to appear in most of the pages to increase attraction to readers.

Front and Back cover The final booklet make use of the theme that contain of colourful blocks to create a feeling of fun and interesting in the booklet. Puppets are put on the cover to show the rhythem and also main purpose (introduce the puppets) for the readers. The back of the cover requires to put all the co-organisers and supported organizations and also information to contact the organization for donation.

The booklet was made for the grand opening of the SG Entertainment. In order to let guests to know more about the company’s current and future development, the booklet consist profile of the three idol groups and brief introduction of the subsidiary companies. Future plans were also included, such as the concept photo for the K-Café and prepared film project.

Design concept: Black and gold are the main color for the booklet to create a feeling of grand and magnificent. Different idol groups have different themes for their profile.

This work is to show how we match the background photo with the fonts and sentence in the middle. 1. photo shoot of a evening street view in Korea Simple life is to show my own attitude towards lifestyle which I would like to enjoy life such as enjoying evry sunset and also have a childhood mind as always. The paper airplane to create a feeling of childhood. 2. b/w photo shoot Courageous is to break through own boundaries and come out of your comfort zone. 3. food shoot I think kimbap (sushi) is one of the most taste food. I love it so much because I think it is tasty and also enjoyable to hare with friends and family.

This story is about a women who lived in public estate and feel her job extremely vapid and exhausted. She could only buy preserved food for her dinner which is completely tasteless. She recalled pleasent memory that her family prepared ketchup fish for her in the past. The message of the story is to embrace what you have and not regard in the future.

Collective memories

I went to 17 districts in Hong Kong as to have further understanding to the society I born. From my visit, I found that many old buildings were old that they may be destructed in the following years. I feel pity that these buildings are going to be disappear. By using my own way to keep these buildings, I am able to show my feelings towards these buildings.
