Q6) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product?
What technologies have been used?
∗ Final Cut Pro ∗ Apple Mac ∗ Tumblr ∗ Microsoft Word ∗ Prezi ∗ ISSUU ∗ Microsoft PowerPoint ∗ YouTube ∗ Voiceovers
What technologies have been used?
∗ We have used many technologies in order to create our film, the most important ones were Tumblr and Final Cut Pro. Tumblr is a social networking website that allows users to post multimedia content to their own customizable blogs. ∗ This was perfect for our media production as it gave us the ability to further envelope new technologies as we went on. It was well organised and made our work look presentable and professional. ∗ At the start of our production we had many difficulties with the internet not allowing us to use Tumblr which made things difficult, however this was eventually resolved.
What technologies have been used?
∗ To edit our film we used Final Cut Pro on our Apple Mac. We used both of these as they are what we used at GCSE and we understood how to use them effectively. ∗ We did have problems with them both as our computer was exceedingly slow which meant that Final Cut Pro crashed a lot but with its auto save feature it meant that we never lost our work which was very useful.
What technologies have been used?
∗ I progressed my Word and PowerPoint work onto ISSUU and Prezi. This way my work looked more professional and effective, it was also easier to display on Tumblr. ∗ They were both easy to use but I prefer ISSUU as it was quicker for me to complete my work. ∗ Because my work was now laid out in an ordered fashion it meant that I could see what I had and hadn't done, which in turn made my time planning much better.
What equipment has been used? ∗ Camera- Canon DSLR… ∗ Tripod ∗ Crane ∗ Shoulder Cam ∗ These pieces of equipment work well, the camera produce great quality shots especially in low lighting, however the SD card filled up quickly and the battery life was far too short. The crane was broken so we couldn’t get the shots as smooth as we would life to have and the shoulder cam was too shaky to get the effect that we wanted to properly.
∗ Other than Prezzi and ISSUU all technology had been used before so we knew what we were doing which helped us greatly in making a successful horror film.
