It was Friday, a very unpleasant day in the early fall. My parents had already gone to work and I decided to stay in bed for a while. When I realized that I would be late for school, the best idea was to skip the rest of the classes too, and to go to see a movie. After I had had my breakfast, I left our apartment and took the elevator down to the firstfloor. I felt a little ashamed so on the way out I took the garbage to do at least one good thing. It was raining outside and I decided to take a cabdowntown and probably return home by the subway. I got out of the cab and walked on the sidewalk for some time, thinking which movie theatre to go to. I bought some candy and cookies, paid for the ticket and went inside. I sat down next to a middle-aged guy who looked at me and to my surprise I was sitting next to my math teacher!
