[Towards a Decentralized Future

and

e]

Lebanon, one o f the most densely populated countries and a busy commercial and cultural centre i n the Mediterranean a rea has l ong suffered from a d ysfunctional and corrupted s ecularized governance system. To reform the city structure, the challenge lies within the roots of all evil, secularism. Therefore, this project envision to decentralize the distribution social and economy governance by giving a chance for the people and private sector a chance to participate in city rebuilding programmes, especially Beirut’s Port, w hile actively monitoring t he government to curb any form of corruption and negligence of public safety in the city.

REUNIFICATION briding of networks between diversed communities

Visual Representation: Collapsive Expansion Inspired b y the scattered ruins and d iverse e thnic background of Lebanon, the project kickstarted by reimagining t he post-catastrophe condition of Beirut in a series of tetris formation. The final p roduct is a 3 A1 long poster which describe the events of Beirut Port i n detail in a chronological order, from the corruption of government, the explosion, all the way to the future speculation of Bitcoin & blockchain adoptation to partially decentralised the country governance

[In Search of a New Light] /a blockchain x smart city vision Followed by the explosion incident, the current governing system has lost its credibility and dealt a fatal blow to the country economy, an immediate reformation is essential. This promted the public voice for blockchain adoptation in the country in hope of saving the failed system blockchain technology is crucial to increase the transparency and the convenience of the smart-city infrastructure, including transport networks, power grids, healthcare, telecommunication, education, and government services to develop more secure networked relationships, interoperable data exchange models, and efficient sharing economy platforms in banking, healthcare, and transportation.

ICT Networking Promoting contactless urban operation and services, and elevating competitivenes

What is SMART CITY?

What is BLOCKCHAIN? A blockchain is essentially a open source, digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated and distributed across the entire network of computer systems on the blockchain. Each block in the chain contains a number of transactions, and every time a new transaction occurs on the blockchain, a record of that transaction is added to every participant’s ledger.

GEN 1: cryptocurrencies

A smart cities seek “to address public issues via ICT-based solutions on the basis of a multi-stakeholder, municipally based partnership to connect and monitor critical infrastructural components and services with the goal of improving the efficiency and the environmental, economic and social sustainability of its operations as well as the quality of life for its citizens

Eliminate Double Spending

Non-Refundable Token Asset ownership that is tokenized into an NFT can more easily transferred among people anywhere in the world

Smart Supply Chain Provides all parties within a respective supply chain with access to the same information, reducing communication or transfer data errors

Autonomous Healthcare

Immutable Transaction Record data are recorded on the blockchain—with metadata relating to its contents, the date, destination, etc. IoT sensors record the temperature and humidity in the container during transit. That data is permanently recorded in the event that there’s a quality concern upon receipt.

Autonomous Security System

When the shipment passes through customs, IoT sensors record the temperature and humidity in the container during transit. That data is permanently recorded in the event that there’s a quality concern upon receipt.

Intergrate with AI to identity potential carpooling or maximize shuttle service

smart contract and result in a immediate autonomous response, increasing success rate of rescuing

Decentralised Cryptocurrency

Ensure trust among untrusting member Blockchains have many administrators, not just one. This removes the need to trust any single administrator or person on the blockchain. The blockchain itself is the proof of validity and defense against fraud or mistrust.

In the context of Lebanon, the currency is controlled by a corrupted government. By adopting a decentralised cryptocurrency in daily usage, government will have lesser effect and decision making on the adopter, the people.
