My Generation Local photographer Lydia Pinfold embarks on a career as a documentary photographer and as she does so captures the images of others in her generation.

“Young adults can become vulnerable as they study for what they want to become or start to work towards their dream career.” Wondering what to do or be and what challenges are out there is a topic that fascinated 20 year old Lydia as she completed a Foundation Degree in Creative and Editorial Photography. She recognised that it can be a lonely time as individuals take on more responsibilities and start to make important life decisions. Reality can hit hard as goals are pushed away and diversions into completely different paths are commonplace. In many cases only a few can reach out and grab their dreams with both hands working hard towards living a life that they are passionate about and being able to say to the world ‘I made it and this is what I can do.’ It is this moment in a lifetime that Lydia has sought to capture in this series of photographs of her generation. continued >
