Key Club For You ........ 2 Past Events ................... 3 Member Spotlight....... 4
As the new school year begins, all the clubs in Division 19 South are ready for a great year. I plan to deliver more service events and create fundraisers for Pediatric trauma prevention.
A Look at the Future .. 4 Major fun...................... 5
At the past DCM many first time members from Narbonne and San Pedro came out to this event and hat lots of fun playing tug-o-war, prisoner, and the name game. As the DCM came to a close many members enjoyed themselves throughout the event, where they were able to become closer to one another. To that, I believe that the DCM was a success. Aside from the Past DCM the current clubs that have gone above and beyond the requirement of servi ce hours are North, Narbonne, and Carson Key Club; each with a minimum of 100 hours. The club of the month is North High Key Club for being proactive in both service, spirit, and participating at events. I will be making the rest of this year, and our upcoming year a one to remember by continuing onward with my action plan, which is to continue to establish positive motivation, communication, and reassurance by love. -Ramon Esquivel 2011-2012 Lt. Governor

Defining, Enjoying, Reasoning, Planning “I feel good, oh I feel so good!!! ;] One of the things I look forward to in school is our BEASTIN' Key Club. I can't think of a club or division that is more LOUD and SPIRITED than we are. Whether we're helping the community or attending DCM's I know that when compared to the rest WE ARE THE BEST!!!”-Vince V. “Key Club has helped me grow as a person and I’ve truly began to understand what it means to volunteer” -Dyllan Thweatt “As a senior in Key Club, I am expecting nothing but good times to come within the next year. I am very excited to make new memories with not only my school’s club, but with other clubs in this division this year.” -Briana Spindola
“If you’re reading this now, your life has been changing or will be changed in the future, maybe only slightly or maybe profoundly, but a good change nonetheless simply because you are a Key Clubber.” -Joyce Cho “YAHOOOO!!!! HAWDOO GUYS!! WOOPY another year of key club! You know what that means :}. Another wild and soking day at Fall Rally Six Flags!! I can’t wait to lose my voice and scare people at night. Also there’s the rose float decoration coming up.. man I hate those carrots. Without key club I’d be pushing car Flintstones style haha bye key clubbers” -Mark Florendo
Just Do It.
“Key Club is the place where you can release all your insecurities and devote yourself entirely to service of others. And it is this selfless service that subsequently allows you to reject anyone or anything that ever made you feel like you didn’t belong, or you didn’t fit in, or you weren’t cool enough, or pretty enough, or that you couldn’t dance well enough, or sing well enough, or that you’d never run for international president! You just remember that you’re a superstar, you were born this way, and we can all serve today!” -Cole Hickman “Key Club is a place, a person, and a thing. A place to go to do service. A thing to help whether it’s a community, an animal, or a natural thing. A person to talk to every time something is on your mind, or someone to talk to just for random reasons.” -Z5
“I hope we all become closer and a bigger family and I think we can all learn from each other throughout the year” -Sebastian Martinez I pledge on my honor to uphold the objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school, and community; to serve my nation and god and to combat all forces, which tend to undermine these institutions.
Caring - Our way of Life
“I LOVE KEY CLUB! I NEED MORE PINS, SHIRTS, AND BRACELETS!!!” -Eliza Young “Key Club, so far has been an amazing experience for me and I met wonderful people from my division and got close too amazing, wonderful, coolest, bestest, board there is which is Carson 2011-12 board. I found my passion in serving the community through key club. I can’t wait to do more community service with my key club family because key club is fun while helping the community. WOOT WOOT CARSON” -Dean De Dios

Getting Ready For Fun Fall Rally It’s that time of the year again! November is approaching fast; it’s time to start advertising to your club and fundraise for PTP and busses. It’s only $27.00. Fall rally this year will be November 19th. Tell all your friends and future Key Clubbers about this magnificent event. This event can be a great incentive for your club to do more hours and attract more members. You do not want to miss this event. Be there.
DCON 2012 DCON 2012, BEElieve – the magic of Service District Convention this year will be held at Santa Clara. This is about 7 hours away from here. Everyone should be preparing for this once in a lifetime event. Each and every DCON is different. For example DCON 2010 was different from 2011 because of the fact that you had more bonding time and more traveling with your fellow members whereas this year there wasn’t much of a trip because it was so close. So everyone should try to save around $300.00 for DCON! Buy your business attire early so that you don’t have to shop at every store in a mad panic to look for professional attire clothes. DCON is very pricy; therefore get your club to start fundraising now to drop the cost of DCON. For example Carson only had to pay around 100 whereas North had to pay 300 because they didn’t fundraise enough. So start!
