Many of these online sites seem to promise rates and terms that seem too good to be true, and that can be very tempting to most buyers. Buying a home is often the biggest purchase of a person’s life, and the process can seem daunting. Having a local lender walk you through the steps, explain the process, and answer all your questions is priceless.

ACCOUNTABILITY Local lenders are more likely to do a good job and make your loan experience go as smoothly as possible because they have a reputation to protect. Word of mouth in our community is the best source of business out there, and it can quickly work against a lender if things go awry. And unlike online lenders, clients can go to the office of the local lender and demand accountability. Buyers don’t have that luxury when they are working online with their lender, and that can leave them feeling powerless if their calls and concerns go unanswered.
