BINNENSTAD veelzijdige wijk | the versatile district

Dit is hét stadsdeel van toeristen, grote winkelketens en vele historische bezienswaardigheden. In de kleine steegjes in de binnenstad vind je nog lokale winkeltjes en gezellige pleintjes. Wil je tijdens het winkelen even uitrusten en genieten van een heerlijke lunch? Dan zul je niet lang hoeven zoeken, je vindt hier vele culinaire adresjes waar je terecht kunt. Historische pareltjes zoals de Sint S ervaasbasiliek, 't Dinghuis en de Basiliek van Onze Lieve Vrouw kun je hier ook bewonderen. Terwijl er een paar honderd meter verderop druk gewinkeld en geflaneerd wordt, is het Jekerkwartier een plek om even op adem te komen, om te onthaasten, rond te slenteren en te ge nieten van kunst, smaken en tradities die dit stadsdeel rijk is. Annelies Hoek schilderde o.a. een staatsieportret van koningin Beatrix. Margriet Houben – van Acker geeft met haar schilderijen vrolijke interpretaties van de werkelijkheid die zonder fantasie en verbeelding saai en zwaar zou zijn. Anneque Lijnkamp schildert een wereld waarin droom en werkelijkheid door elkaar heen lopen. // Exhibition > Ziender/ ogen/blij is an exhibit of paintings of three different painters: Annelies Hoek, Margriet Houben, and Anneque Lijnkamp. Annelies painted, among others, a portrait of Queen Beatrix. Margriet Houben-van Acker's paintings are joyful interpretations of reality, reality which would be boring and gloomy without fantasy and imagination. Anneque Lijnkamp paints a world where the boundaries between dream and reality disappear.
