Imperia se caractérise par deux sites portuaires, le port touristique de Port Maurice et le port d’Oneille. Le torrent Impero a toujours été une fracture entre les deux zones, puisqu’il manque, côté mer, une liaison piétonne entre l’anse de Cuneo du port d’Oneille et l’autre partie de la ville, autrefois caractérisée par les bâtiments de l’Ex-Ferriere, dont il ne reste que les hauts-fourneaux et un bâtiment le long de la berge, et par le nouveau parc urbain. La Passerella dell’Energia (Passerelle de l’énergie), située au bord du bâtiment des Ex-Ferriere, répond à la nécessité de réunir les deux rives et constitue un signe de liaison symbolique entre les deux réalités. Construite avec un arc d’une portée maximale de 109,40 mètres entre les appuis et les deux rampes d’accès de 20 mètres de long, la passerelle a un plan en courbe circulaire de 162,55 mètres. Le point le plus élevé de l’arc mesure 20 mètres de haut et l’espacement moyen entre les structures porteuses est de 6,50 mètres. Le tablier mesure 4 mètres de large pour la circulation des vélos et des piétons.

Côté mont, une série de bacs à feurs autochtones donne à la passerelle une image de continuité paysagère entre le parc urbain et les nouveaux espaces verts prévus dans le projet d’aménagement paysager du port d’Oneille. Côté mer, le parapet accueille 150 mètres linéaires de panneaux photovoltaïques qui alimentent l’éclairage nocturne de la passerelle.

Toute la structure est réalisée en acier à l’exception des piliers d’ancrage en béton armé sur des fondations sur pieux, tandis que le tablier est réalisé en bois traité pour résister à la salinité de l’eau.

Le projet d’éclairage joue sur différents effets de couleur, allant des nuances de blanc à des couleurs pouvant varier en fonction des besoins.

Imperia è caratterizzata da due aree portuali, quella a vocazione turistica di Porto Maurizio e quella di Oneglia. Il torrente Impero ha da sempre costituito una frattura fra le due zone, mancando, sul lato mare, un collegamento pedonale tra la calata Cuneo del porto di Oneglia e l’altra parte della città, caratterizzata un tempo dagli edifci delle Ex-Ferriere, di cui restano solo le ciminiere e un edifcio lungo l’argine, e dal nuovo parco urbano.

La Passerella dell’Energia, al limite dell’edifcio delle Ex-Ferriere, soddisfa l’esigenza di ricucire le due sponde e riveste l’importanza di segno simbolico di collegamento delle due realtà.

Realizzata con un arco di 109,40 m di luce massima tra gli appoggi e due rampe di accesso lunghe 20 m, la passerella ha un andamento planimetrico in curva circolare di 162,55 m. Il punto massimo dell’arco ha un’altezza di 20 m e un interasse medio tra le strutture portanti di 6.50 m. L’impalcato utile ha una larghezza di 4 m destinati a un transito sia ciclabile sia pedonale. Sul lato monte, una serie di foriere con essenze autoctone conferisce alla passerella una immagine di continuità paesaggistica tra il parco urbano e le nuove aeree a verde previste nel progetto di arredo urbano del porto di Oneglia. Sul lato mare, il parapetto accoglie 150 m lineari di pannelli fotovoltaici che contribuiscono alla illuminazione notturna della passerella. Tutta la struttura è stata realizzata in acciaio a esclusione delle pile di ancoraggio in c.a. su fondazioni a palo, mentre l’impalcato è in legno trattato in modo da resistere al salino.

Il progetto illuminotecnico gioca su effetti cromatici diversi che spaziano dalle tonalità di bianco a colorazioni che possono variare a seconda delle esigenze.

Imperia stands out for its two port districts, tourist-oriented Porto Maurizio and Porot Oneglia.

Little Impero river has always created a fracture between the two areas and, over on the side facing the sea, there is no pedestrian link between Cuneo cove in Oneglia Port and the other side of the city, where the Ex-Ferriere buildings used to be located with only the old smokestacks and a construction running along the embankment still standing, as well as a new inner-city park.

Passerella dell’Energia (Energy Footbridge), over on the far side of the Ex-Ferriere building, serves the purpose of joint the two banks back together and is a symbol connecting two landmarks.

Built with a maximum arch span of 109.40 metres between supports and two 20-metre-long access ramps, the walkway extends for 162.55 metres in a circular curve. The maximum height of the arch is 20 metres and the average space between the supporting structures is 6.50 metres.

The paths for both bicycle and pedestrian transit has a maximum width of 4 metres.

Upstream, a number of fowerbeds holding autochthonous plants makes the walkway look like a continuation of the inner-city park and new green areas planned as part of the Oneglia harbour urban design project. Over by the sea, a parapet houses 150 metres in length of photovoltaic panels that help light the walkway at night-time.

The entire structure is made of steel except for the reinforced concrete anchorage piers built on foundation piles, while the main surface is made of wood specially treated to be salt-proof.

The lighting design plays on different chromatic effects ranging from shades of white to miscellaneous colours as required.
