IKATELY CENTRAL HOSPITAL OF TURKEY
SITE LOCATION
Ikitelli is located to the north west of Istanbul on the outskirts of the city. This part of the city has expanded rapidly over recent years due to urban sprawl.
AERIAL VIEW
The proposed Basaksehir Hospital located in Ikitelli district of Istanbul is designed to be a comprehensive wellness community that includes multiple healthcare specialties on one campus. This site, with a total area of 950,000 square meters, includes a combination of healthcare and health related buildings, along with retail, hospitality, research and office space. The entire campus is supported by a new network of roadways that successfully navigate the large and topographically challenged site.
SITE PLAN
The Ministry of Transportation is also investing in a new metro line with a designated stop in the center of the 2 km site. A new district park will serve as the front door to the campus and include multiple access points for vehicles, pedestrians and those arriving by transit. PERKINS + WILL DC

CENTER OF EXCELLENCE ENTRY
Th e m a in Hospit al design represent s a Neighborhood Concept and contains 6 Co m p re h e n s i ve Ce nt e rs of E xce l l e n ce . The COE are Pediatrics, Womenâs Health, Cardiology, General, Oncology, Neurology & Orthopedics. These Center of Excellence (COE) are joined by a primary linear circulation Logistics âspineâ running North to south which hosts the major service access points for all COEâs.
he COEâs are architecturally distinctive with their own entry and circulation zones which are immediately adjacent to the outpatient and inpatient components. The six centers of excellence have their own identity, entrance, outpatient center, inpatient tower and public amenity. The COEâs create a campus by sharing diagnostic and support areas, service and logistics, emergency department and public conferencing and office spaces.

IKATELY CENTRAL HOSPITAL OF TURKEY
The faā¸Ŗā¸ade emphasizes a framework of modular design that thoughtfully responds to the building organization and layout. The Center of Excellence (COE) approach to each of the hospitals is reinforced in the response to the building massing and the faā¸Ŗā¸ade design. This includes similarities in the design of the concourse and entry, inpatient tower and outpatient buildings. The similarities on the faā¸Ŗā¸ade help to reinforce the design of the campus and the impartiality between the hierarchies of each hospital. Within each COE materials are subtly changed and color is added to distinguish one center from another. The modular framework allows for an efficiency of design with the manipulation of key faā¸Ŗā¸ade elements; this provides for ARCHITECTURAL MASTER P the individuality of each building while MIMARI P reinforcing wayfinding. The building exterior pays tribute to the context and character of the Charlottesville area while nodding to the history of the project site. Brick veneer is complemented by metal spandrel panels to create a transitional aesthetic. Glazing varies by solar orientation, with punched windows on the east and west building facades and more generous windows on the north and south to harvest additional daylight for the interiors.

Interior phased renovation of existing two story YMCA facility, primarily limited to the main building interiors, along with a 4,320 SF, two-story expansion. Site improvements include water service upgrades, gas line relocation, utility-pole guy-wire relocation and new exterior egress components, to be located adjacent to the proposed building addition. Building improvements at the existing facility are primarily interior, to address accessibility issues with the facility and enhance the user-experience. Northern façade of proposed addition to be two stories of glass wall at fitness areas, with solid elevations clad in limestone and vertical wood slats.

The proposed new school is located in the busy residential community in jingan district, shanghai. The land area it occupies is approx. 14,451 Sm. The concept for the site design was to create contrast from the surrounding neigborhood. The near surroundings are very visually dense and spatially congested. The proposed design attempts to redefine the concept of dense minimalism by floating a simple sculptural form over a simple landscaped plynth. The result is a urban oasis for learning with a iconic presence in the district.

STANDARD LEVEL Known for heavy industry tradition, the District of Baoshan is planning to resurrect from the obsoleted impression. Coasting the dramatic waterfront in East China Sea, the city was scheming a vast area of land for public recreation pioneered by the Winder Tower CBD. With the investment of Shanghai International Port Group, the previous marsh land is turning into a spectacular compound of office, hotel, retail and SOHO.

The new development is dedicated to develop a series of parks and eco systems for leisure living, working and entertaining in order to reverse the clinched impression of the community. Our project sits on the junction of coast drive and tunnel that speaks on behalf of the entire region, a symbolic area that has to tie into new adjacent community and park system. In the meantime, the design could not abandon the heritage of the region.

This scheme embodies a sense of unification that summons all buildings into a single concept. The museum sits in between flares that wrap around the observation tower and elevate to the top which ultimately merged into one skin. The wrapping skin of the lower level, flips and converges into the central plaza to enhance centralization. The center of plaza sinks down to the underground dinning plaza and hence merges into the gigantic retail level.

VAST URBANIZATION OF SHANGHAI
NEIGHBORHOOD AERIAL VIEW
A NEXUS is the pinnacle where multiple elements converge, interact and collaborate. The New Xinzhuang Metro Station is a future nexus between physical and simulated networks dedicated to expanding the architectural spectrum from a regional transportation hub to a vivid conjunction of travel, recreation and engagement market of the community. The Redevelopment of Xinzhuang Station will redefine the role of transit relating to the new lifestyle of freedom, customization, and recreation, and spread as a prototypic node with metro access in future megacities.
The extraordinary construction speed brings both opportunities and challenges in the last 15 years and will extend to the foreseeable future: the exploding population would give rise to numerous satellite townships to Decentralize urban resources; the sprawling metro system would Integrate logistic delivery to enclose the commercial chain; the skyrocketing web use would remove commute via Mobilized working venues. The New Xinzhuang Station is thereby oriented towards a nexus of transit Freedom, Customized retail and communal Recreation.

The shopping center takes advantage of the vacant lot between traffic corridors and intersects with the green belt of the surrounding landscapes. In terms of circulation, the bypassing trains will take the outermost track to avoid unnecessary stops whereas the arrival trains enter the central platform to set up a temporal mall with specified merchandises. The two wings of station, meanwhile, spread out bilaterally beyond traffic interruption to stitch the community with recreation facilities. U N I V E R S I T Y O F C I N C I N N AT I

O ve r- t h e - R h i n e i s a n e i g h b o r h o o d i n Cincinnati, Ohio. It is believed to be the largest, most intact urban historic district in the United States. Over-the-Rhine was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 with 943 contributing buildings. It contains the largest collection of Italianate architecture in the United States, and is an example of an intact 19th-century urban neighborhood. Besides being a historic district, the neighborhood has an arts community that is unparalleled within Cincinnati. The site sits at the commercial center of Over-theRhine, next to the Findlay market and on an existing soup kitchen called "Our Daily Bread". Therefore, the new construction is mean to be firmly connected, not only the overall architectural heritage but also the food culture of the community.

The Central Stair is a aluminum framed and iron structured "Jewel box" fitting 363 pieces of diamond glass panels. These windows are double paneled and angled towards the major attractions of Cincinnati, such as downtown financial district, Mount Adam and Union train Station. The grand stair also works as an interaction space for people to mingle and relax, other than serving as a means of egress. The skin of dual towers is made of corten steel to collaborate with the surrounding brick buildings. These panels are adjustable at the window opening to provide shading and privacy. Besides, the floors are made of precast concrete open slabs with HVAC fitted in to shrink down the floor depth so that more floors are allowed under height limit.

AR & VR INTERACTIVE DEVELOPMENT AUGMENTED REALITY TARGET TRACKING
VR HEADTRACKING FREEWALK PLATFORM
Augmented reality unveils the possibility to superimpose models onto the actual world. During my days in Perkins Will, I have led the AR app development on iPhones and iPads, which were used in various marketing and interview occasions. Built on top of Vulforia Unity SDK, my AR apps can bring up an architectural or urban model when the associated icon captured by the camera. The icon can be a rendered image or a regular sheet of construction drawings. Meanwhile, Vulforia has recently extend its ability to superimpose models or animated effects onto a 3D icon, which will bring architectural visualization and interactivity to a different level. AR KIT SURFACE TRACKING
The Walkaround app provides a portable alternative to traditional VR set when trying to comprehend the building and neighboring site. Visual Reality has widely accepted in architectural business, majorly through Iris Prospect. It brings great effect, but the clumsiness of equipment setup and discomfort for glass wearers or older generations significantly confined its application. The Walkaround app I developed allows the user to experience the building with live panorama views with just an iPhone. The user has full control of his/her walking speed, and is capable to compare design options. And most importantly, this platform is extremely simplified so that any team member can bring in their own project into an app in no longer than 90 minutes, no Unity knowledge required.
Instead of using an icon, the AR kit app can track on any real surfaces selected from the camera screen, such as ceiling, ground, and even vertical walls. Given that, simply by using an iPhone or iPad, we can superimpose a piece of architecture or furniture onto an actual surface. The ceiling pattern shown in the image can be superimposed onto the any captured ceiling surfaces, and then being modified through rotation and scale change. Using the same logic, but in a larger scale, we can impose a model onto the site surface to experience its existence with neighboring environment,
