Professional Experience:

As the Hong Kong-based Asia Editor for TIME, which is part of the U.S. multimedia company Time Inc., Zoher has extensive international experience. He has lived abroad and, through his work, he is exposed to a wide range of political, socioeconomic and cultural milieus. He has also met many of Asia’s national and business leaders. Professionally, Zoher has authored many articles on Hong Kong, India and other countries in Asia.

Zoher hails from one of the oldest families in Hong Kong. Since his great-grandfather arrived in Hong Kong in the 1880s, the Abdoolcarim family has called Hong Kong home.

Zoher received much of his education in local schools in Hong Kong, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States.

For many years Zoher was reluctant to be involved in the community, in order to stay impartial and unbiased. Over the last few years, Zoher has made a life decision to channel his passion for Hong Kong and his skills to try to help empower others.

Zoher speaks fluent Cantonese and is married with one child.
