Ajmal‘s company, OCTO3 specialises in provision of Payment and Clearing House Systems, Solutions and Consultative Advice to Central Banks, new FinTech Startups, and Global Financial and Banking organisations. Ajmal also participates in, and mentors new ventures as a venture capitalist via various funds.

Prior to setting up his own business, Ajmal worked at Cityline (HK) Ltd. for 15 years as CEO and President.

As a national level athlete, Ajmal officially represents Team Hong Kong in the discipline of single scull rowing and has been ranked in numerous international events such as the Asian Games and World Championships. He is an avid sportsman and also participates in various international sports competitions such as marathon and triathlon at a professional level. In addition to competition, Ajmal is a local sports activist, ensuring inclusive access and representation for disabled athletes in Hong Kong.

Ajmal started his career in Pakistan and was a Commissioned Military Officer in the Pakistan Army holding rank of a Captain. It was during his service in the army that he was injured.
