Professional Experience:

Dewan’s expertise is in textile manufacturing & apparel accessories, trading and development dating back to 1992. His trade has taken him to many countries including China, USA, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Singapore, Philippine, Malaysia Taiwan and Korea. In addition, he has been doing business with Bangladesh, India, Indonesia and Pakistan.

Dewan’s educational background is from Bangladesh. He graduated in Textile Engineering from Dhaka University in Bangladesh and since then has made the trade his career.

Dewan has dedicated much of his community service to the Bangladeshi community in Hong Kong and has found ways of both giving them a voice and having their views heard as part of the ethnic minority agenda. He was awarded the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Services in 2013.

Dewan is married, has two daughters, and both were born and living in Hong Kong.
