Professional Experience:

Jeffrey has worked in the not for profit sector for ten years and has been an advocate for greater ethnic minority public policies. Jeffrey is one of the first ethnic minorities in Hong Kong to successfully become a qualified social worker.

Currently Jeffrey works for Christian Action in their centre for refugees. In his capacity as a social worker, Jeffrey assists in managing the welfare and other daily necessities for Hong Kong’s refugees. In addition, Jeffrey is a frequent speaker at secondary schools and public events.

Jeffrey is from Hong Kong and is a product of local public schools. His personal story is inspiring and he is a role model for the youth in Hong Kong. Jeffrey’s personal story has been featured in two published books. In 2014, Jeffrey attended and submitted a petition to the United Nations in Geneva on issues relating to ethnic minorities in Hong Kong.

Jeffrey was awarded the Certificate of Commendation from the Secretary for Home Affairs in November 2016 for his dedicated service and outstanding contribution to the enhancement of racial harmony and integration.

Jeffrey speaks Hindi, Tamil, and Cantonese.
