Mohan was born, raised and educated in Hong Kong. He is passionate about Hong Kong affairs and over the last 20 years his interest has been on the livelihoods of the ethnic minority population in Hong Kong. He has spent much of his time and effort improving the overall well-being of Hong Kong’s ethnic minorities by helping them integrate into mainstream Hong Kong society.

Mohan is actively involved in matters regarding the education and employment of the Indian community and it is in this capacity that he meets with LegCo members, government ministers and department and bureau heads and the HKSARG Chief Executive. His focus has been in the improvement of education, housing, immigration and other issues that face Hong Kong ethnic minorities.

Mohan’s work has extended to the NGO sector where he has worked with Christian Action to provide input on how to enhance the educational experience for ethnic minority students and the lives of (ethnic minority) street sleepers and asylum seekers.

Mohan was awarded the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service in 2015 in recognition for his work on ethnic minorities.

Mohan speaks fluent English and Cantonese.
