CARWASH PICK UP new service by Loogman

In 1959 Ger Loogman’s parents started a home-based business on Bosrandweg, dealing in petroleum, gas canisters and domestic fuel. While Loogman Sr went door to door with fuels, his wife cared for their four children at home and meticulously kept the accounts. This golden combination resulted in a ‘well-oiled’ company that’s still every bit as successful today. Loogman Carwash also continues to develop with new technologies, creative ideas and by listening to customers. Most recently, this led to the launch of the Carwash Pick Up. Hello Zuidas caught up with Menno Peters, an innovation specialist who’s been with Loogman for 12 years.

INNOVATION A TOP PRIORITY Innovation is Loogman’s top priority, says Menno. ‘It’s in Loogman’s DNA, both the company and Ger as a businessman. Whenever we’ve successfully completed one development, we tackle something new. Ger is very active within the company and has an antenna for new currents. At Loogman, our mission is to keep surprising customers. All employees are encouraged to provide input on that subject. This lets customers know we’re ever evolving. Mobility is changing fast, so we’re well aware of the need to keep up and follow what customers are doing. In the future, we want to roll out this service nationwide and work with various partners.’

MARKET DEMAND Loogman launched the Carwash Pick Up service in late 2019 in response to market demand. ‘We started building a customer service department at the end of 2018’, explains Menno. ‘They can be reached six days a week during business hours. From the

outset, we began keeping track of customer queries. At some point it became clear there was a demand for this. Companies and individuals wanted to know if we could collect their cars and deliver them back cleaned. We fleshed out the idea and tested it. The service is running very well and by now people know about it. Loogman has an excellent reputation as a trusted company. Our customers know we handle their cars with care. We’ve understood for sixty years that your car is a prized possession.’
