HERTZ. A PREMIUM BRAND IN CAR RENTAL.

Think car rental, and most of us automatically think business trips and holiday travel. But car rental services are so much more than that. Eric Siewers knows. He has been at the wheel of Hertz Netherlands as country manager since the 1st of January this year. Superior vehicles and a unique rental experience are his mission. But it’s the four elements of his management style that really make a difference: passion, ambition, persistence and fun. “You can rent cars for holidays or business trips anywhere. But if you want something special, Hertz is the place to go.”

Despite leading the car rental market in the Netherlands, Hertz is by no means resting on its laurels. Last year, they teamed up with UFOdrive to run a fully digital, fully touchless pilot on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. The pilot was a tremendous success and persuaded Hertz that the concept is ready to scale up at key locations. Eric has some great plans in place to bring the pilot to Amsterdam. “Advanced negotiations are now underway to expand our network in Amsterdam to add multiple locations. This will help us to build a stronger position in the business segment by bringing Hertz closer to some of the biggest companies in the Amsterdam region, including in Zuidas.”

Eric says he’s seeing ongoing growing demand for sustainable solutions. More specifically, for fully electric vehicles. “It’s no surprise. Sustainability plays an important role in many companies’ mobility policies. But also, the electric vehicles we offer today are absolutely exciting vehicles. Polestar, Tesla and even the new electric models from traditional, non-EV automotive brands are really stellar!”

In his new role as country manager, Eric has a lot to juggle, but he is limitless in his enthusiasm for the future of Hertz. “We are in a great position today, but there is still a lot of untapped potential to bring the customer experience to a higher level and to grow our business in Amsterdam and beyond.”
