ZAG SKIS
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY Bastien Saillard et Nicolas Périer, deux ingénieurs, shapent les skis au cœur du ZAG Lab à Chamonix afin de satisfaire les skieurs lorsqu’ils chaussent une paire de ZAG. Éternels insatisfaits, ils passent leur temps à chercher de nouveaux shapes, des nouveaux matériaux et des constructions avant-gardistes. «Nous ressentons en permanence le besoin d’innover afin de proposer des skis toujours plus intuitifs, confortables et performants, procurant aux skieurs des sensations uniques.» Bastien Saillard, R&D Director Le ZAG Lab leur permet de réaliser des prototypes en un temps record et l’implantation à Chamonix permet de tester ces derniers pour les améliorer. Ainsi, pour aboutir à une gamme tout terrain, l’équipe a pu tester les skis sur tous les types de neige. Ils ont ainsi développé une nouvelle gamme H-PATROL polyvalente, dédiée à la pratique du ski en station. «Aux pieds des Grands Montets, notre terrain de jeu se trouve tout autour de nous. Rester connecté perpétuellement à notre environnement est une véritable source d’inspiration. C’est ce qui nous permet de créer des skis confortables et performants.» Nicolas Périer, R&D Manager Cette connexion pousse l’équipe R&D à proposer des produits plus respectueux de l’environnement, grâce notamment à de nouveaux matériaux ou méthodes de conceptions, dans le cadre du ZAGreen Program. Our two engineers Bastien Saillard and Nicolas Périer design our skis in the ZAG Lab located in Chamonix with the goal of satisfying the many tastes of our customers. Always hungry to improve, they spend their time studying innovative shapes, materials, and constructions. “We are compelled to endlessly innovate by creating skis that are increasingly intuitive, comfortable, high performing, and that provide skiers with a unique riding experience.” Bastien Saillard, Director of Research and Development The ZAG LAB allows our engineers to create prototypes in record time, and its prime location in Chamonix lets us test them right away and make improvements accordingly. To create our all-mountain range (H PATROL), for example, the team was able to test the skis on all types of snow in order to develop a new and versatile range dedicated to resort skiing. “With our concept store at the foot of Grands Montets, our playground is in our backyard. Being so connected with the environment is a true source of inspiration.
