MAIN CONCEPT

It deals with continuously linked lives and the relationships that influence each other. We continue to form a community and furthermore build a society. However, there are people who are classified as other people, such as refugees and immigrants. I wanted to show how people who are rejected like this live in various ways according to their colors and are organically connected to each other and influence each other.

Hair is Still Recording

MAIN CONCEPT

This is a place of unconsciousness that records our memories. Some motors keep recording while some stopped recording as if they were lost hair, and some motors start their movement when visitors movements are detected; thus making people realize that their current actions are also being recorded.

머내저리는 이국적인 동물들이나 사치품들을 전시하여 자신의 부를 드러내고 과시하는 용도로써 사용되었다. 우리는 이러한 머내저리의 개념을 현대에서 찾아보고자 하였다. 현대에는 SNS를 통하여 자신의 부와 존재감을 손쉽게 자랑할 수 있다. 남들이 쉽게 할 수 없는 경험, 혹은 자신만의 경험을 보여줌으로써 자신의 존재를 사람들에게 표현하고 싶어한다. 사람들이 정말로 과시하고 자랑하고 싶은 것은 단순한 부가 아 니라 경험이나 자신의 상황이다. 여기에서 우리는 시간이라는 개념을 뽑아 내게 되었다. 우리에게 동일한 24시간이 주어져 있지만, 그 시간을 다루는 방법은 각자 다르다. 사람들은 자신의 의도에 따라서 시간을 운 용하기 위해 타인의 시간을 사기도, 혹은 본인의 시간을 판매하 기도 한다. 이러한 시간을 사고 파는 시스템을 통해서 누군가는 남들보다 더 많은 개인적인 시간을, 누군가는 남들보다 더 적은 개인적 시간을 얻을 수 있게 되는데, SNS에서는 이러한 시간의 전시가 적극적으로 일어나고 있다. 내가 보낸 남들과는 다른, 특별하고 색다른 경험들은 SNS라는 매체를 통해서 전시된다.

Menagerie was used to display exotic animals or luxuries to reveal and show off their wealth. We attempt to uncover traces of menagerie in the modern society.

In modern times, one can easily boast one's wealth and presence through SNS. They want to express their existence to people by showing their own experiences or experiences that others cannot easily do. What people really want to show off and brag about is not just wealth, but experience or their own situation. Here we came to draw out the concept of time.

We are given the same 24 hours, but each has a different way of dealing with that time. People buy other people's time or sell their own time to manage time according to their intentions. Through this timebuying and selling system, someone can get more personal time than others and less personal time than others, and such time exhibitions are actively taking place on SNS. Special and different experiences, which are different from others I sent, are displayed through a medium called SNS.

MAIN CONCEPT

문제가 생겼을 때 우리는 '벽에 부딪치다'라는 관용구를 사용한 다. 살아가며 여러 상황을 마주하고 벽에 부딪치는 일은 자연스 럽지만, 그 벽면들이 모여 하나의 틀(상자)이 형성될 때 사람은 공포를 경험한다. 현대사회에서는 다양한 기준이 끊임없이 생성되고, 사람들은 이를 달성하기 위해 수많은 벽을 마주한다. 그 과정에서 받는 억압에 사람은 결국 기준들로부터 벗어나려 하지만, 이미 자신 이 비좁은 틀 안에 갇혀있음을 깨닫는다. 이에 우리는 답답하고 힘든 정도를 넘어 임계점에 도달했을 때, (특정)포비아로 분류 되는 반응이 오는 모습을 상자로부터 탈출하려고 몸을 뒤트는 사람들에 반영했다. 사이즈가 같은 상자는 사회적 기준과 틀에 의하여 개인의 자유와 개성이 사라지고 획일화된 전체의 모습 이다. 상자 앞의 QR코드를 찍으면 갇혀있는 사람들의 포비아를 설계 도처럼 그려낸 정보를 읽을 수 있다. 사람들이

In society, various standars are constantly being created, which creats an obsession to achieve thos standards. Therefore, one faces numerous walls to achieve theses unattainable standards. When people seek to deviate from the standards due to the oppression they receive in the process, they soon realize that they are already trapped within a cramped frame thus forming social phobia.

Therefore, we constructed an image of one reaching a critical point beyond being airless and grueling in a confined frame. The identical frames foretell the individuality of one disappearing due to set social standards and frameworks. The pair of large eyes indicate that everything is under control like how everything in the real world is. The moving gaze further stimulates the self consciousness of the people in the box chasing set standards. In addition, the QR code informs the viwers information of the trapped-the discrepancy between the fact that the viewers can get their information with just one simple motion causes a strange fear in out peculiar society.

혈관을 통해 영양분을 공급받는 세포와 같이 기업은 소비자의 다양한 데이터를 통해 제품을 생상한다. 지속가능성과 친환경 제품에 대한 사회의 관심이 증가하면서 이를 악용하는 기업 또 한 늘어났다. 이 설치공간은 친환경에 대한 소비자들의 관심과 열망을 공급받아 비정상적으로 증식하며 무의미한 결과물을 만들어내는 그린워싱의 매커니즘을 나타낸다. 그린워싱은 사회 이면, 눈에 보이지 않는 곳에서 본질을 가리는 얇은 껍질을 두르고 몸집을 부풀리며 기생한다. 아직 공사가 진 행중인 듯 불완전한 공간 안에 설치된 철제 구조물은 옥상 외 부와 연결되어 다양한 데이터를 전달받는다. 얽혀있는

Just as a cell proliferates from nutrients carried through an organism's blood vessels, corporations prosper by accumulating consumer's data. Today, with the public's increasing attentiveness towards sustainability and eco-friendly products, more corporations deceptively exploit this global interest to continue to produce greenwashed products.

This installation is a depiction of greenwashing and its mechanism. The plastic wrap encompassing the entirety of the room and the raw, rigid structure of the scaffolds depict a space in a mid-construction phase, in the process of growth. A series of computers and printers stacked on the scaffolds are powered through the wires that retrieve date from the outside. Ironically, unlike the strenuous wires and hectic computer screens that amass data, the printed papars-a physical rendering of the collected data-are blank. This represents how people's purpose-driven actions become unknowingly and unwillingly futile in the process of corporations' production and how corporations thrive from it.

MAIN CONCEPT

The central rotating structure represents the continuity of memory. Memories expressed in light rotate along the orbit. The mirrors on the floor compare the act of reminiscing and projecting the past. As a series of memories pass, the sentiments of that moment become more intense than the real ones. The facial expressions of the first scene in the video represented various emotions of the moment, and the fragmented mirror is an act of reminiscing and projecting the past. It represents the process of forming the self by harmonizing all these emotions and harmonizing with light and mirrors.

Furthermore, as a small gift to commemorate the exhibition, the Instagram AR filter that can be accessed with a QR code can bring small silver rings that can pop up on the brochure.

MAIN CONCEPT

Eternity’는 ‘Continuity’라는 키워드에서 중요한 요소이다. 인 간은 예전부터 영원한 것, 특히 영생을 갈망해왔다. 하지만 우 리는 영생에 대하여 의구심이 들었다. ‘영생은 인간에게 언제나 긍정적인 것일까?’ 삶을 주체적으로 결정할 수 없다면 오히려 저주에 가깝다 는 결론이 내려졌다. 우리는 영생을 연구하는 R3(Revive, Regeneration, Reform)라는 가상의 회사를 설립하여, 임상실 험 지원자에게 영생을 실현시켜주는 기술을 실험하려는 가상 의 상황을 만들었다. 연구실에서 벌어지는 가상의 상황을 통해, 영원한 삶에 대한 의구심과 경계를 나타내고자 한다. 상황: 영생을 연구하는 R3는 2021년, 마침내 인간의 의식을 데 이터로 변환해 디지털 공간 속에서 영원한 삶을 살아가는 기술 을 개발한다. R3는 기술의 성능 확인을 위해 일부 연구원들을 먼저 디지털 공간 속에 데이터화 하는데 성공한다. 하지만 이 연구원들은 영원한 삶이 상상처럼 행보하지 않다는

‘Eternity’ was the main point from the keyword ‘Continuity’. Human beings have always desired immortal life. However, we had a doubt about immortal life.

‘Would immortality always be regarded as absolute goodness?’

It was concluded that it would be a tragedy living an eternal life, remaining without the choice of death. By founding the imaginary organization R3(Revive, Regeneration, Reform) cooperation, experimenting with the eternal life technology, we set the situation that R3 is trying clinical trials at the laboratory. The objects are demonstrating the suspicions and the wariness of the immortal life by assuming the situation.

Situation: In 2021, R3 finally invented the technology to convert the human consciousness to data into the virtual world, making eternal life possible. R3 succeeded digitizing some of their researchers, but the researchers realized that immortality was not as blissful as they expected and attempted to send a warning message to stop this experiment. However, R3 interrupted the researchers sending the message because their new technology could bring a remarkable honor and profit if the clinical trial succeeds. Due to the disturbance, the digitized researchers could not send the message through a digital method and took the last resort, putting Morse code on the paper, which is an analog method.

CUCKOOLAND

MAIN CONCEPT

Kleptothermy is sharing or stealing the body heat of other animals to maintain body temperature and reduce energy consumption. Kleptothermy can be both parasitic and symbiotic, therefore we expanded it to the concept of ‘gathering for individual purpose’. Inspired by cuckoos that lay eggs in the nests of other birds, Cuckooland is a complex, symbiotic or parasitic space where they offer kindness and products for their own purposes. Our products exist, but they are abstract concepts that cannot be purchased in reality. For some, these products may be necessary, and for others, they may not. Since Cuckooland is a place where consumers pay for the product, we, the creator, achieve our purpose: gaining benefits.
