As the strong wind carry the sand from this side to the other side, it does make serious problems. So we have to provide some solutions, using deposited sand to plant on the roof is my main concept.

GREEN ACADEMY DISMECO
It’s a competition which I work with my classmates and tutor as a team in summer internship. From proposal the concepts till we disscussed and intergrate ideas and then focus on one main strategy, and here comes the result. A shuttling gallery, the middle level, is placed in this building, which is aimed to collect information, idea, and sustainable concept, and arouse the inspiration and cooperation between different specialties. Also, as a spoke-landmark, we expect the gallery could spread sustain able green energy and eco-friendly knowledge, by perceiving and respecting the original building texture, and adopt environmental-friend ly construction. Finally, we take the crucial actions to modify this old abandoned factory and look forward to see this building to be a new substance fully ready for next generation

SECTION
A middle level is created to conform the route of To make people gather in this platform, we excavate space higher and brighter.
The design is about a highrise around 35 floors, located in Australia, Melbourne CBD. The concept is SILENCE, related to the situation that the city is facing---”It’s hard to find a nice and quiet corner.”
06
Therefore I started to discuss with the issue and the strategy was to create a long gap for people to interact in the space, and otherwise people don’t talk or conversate with each other beyond the gap. The analysis was based on the transportation and human flow to avoid the noise effected by the environment.

07 Magnolia, a kind of flower species special to Taiwan. It’s hughly related to the poor and voluntary activities. The aim in this project was to design a movable stand which fit human scale and emphasized on how it combined with the environment in and outside.

The strategy was called URBAN SUBTRACTION, seperated into three parts, first was SURFACE, analyzed and zoomed in the spots to produce Magnolia in different hierarchy of urban. Second was LINE, to redifine the transportation ways based on the spot central decided by “surface strategy”. Last was POINT, to redecide the points that vendors used to sell flowers.

The tower was designed in two types, 10 and 12 floors. It included the everyday work that farmers used to do and replaced the transportation of the long distance between north and south of Taiwan, also a transfer station to bring the movable stand to other sellling places. The size of module will change from the upper tp lower, as well as the process of everyday work of Magnolia.

JWU WORKSHOP PROJECT
SOCIAL HOUSING IN NANJI AIRPORT NIGHT MARKET
The project was located in Nanji Airport Night Market in Taipei. It featured with the additional volumes of the housing and they gradually changed how the elevation looked like before. We discussed not to get rid of all the volumes, based on different buildings facing various environment, we preserved the main structure and some of the additionals, also added new constructions to emphasize it.

We started to analyze the historic site and classify the types of residents living inside currently. There were total 240 units in our site, there were 48% used for self occupation, 43% for tenancy, and 5% was empty houses. Also after knowing the 5 types of additionals, it could tell how the space was lack of for the residents, such as laundry spaces, kids rooms, kitchen, etc. Therefore we considered and rearranged the actual spaces and programs which fit to various type of family.
