welcome from Riskan Hope Farm Welcome! Well, we are starting a new adventure at the farm and we are excited to invite y’all to the farm on March 24 for pizza lunch and a video sale. The bulls will be penned for you to walk through before the sale. We stand behind our bulls and we are confident that each one will make an impact in your herd. The bulls are developed on super oats and a grass hay ration designed for growth and longevity. Activated carbon is mixed in the grain to promote hoof health, gut health and red meat production. We maintain a full herd health program and all bulls are up-to-date with their shots. We would like to take the opportunity to thank our past buyers and repeat buyers. You all help make our program what it is, by requesting sires that work in your herd. If you have any questions about our feeding or breeding program, don’t hesitate to contact us. Riskan Hope Farm hosts Craik School students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 to celebrate #CndAgDay. Before the students came out to tour the farm, they drew photos of what Agriculture means to them. We had 35 awesome photos to look through and these four were our top picks.

From the K-1-2 classroom: Nash Watkins took first place with his depiction of cows in a pen with bales and a water trough by the barn… and of course the main goal of this event at the bottom… the road leading to Sale Day! Honourable mention goes to Addison Vibert for depicting the life-cycle of a chicken.

From the 3-4-5 classroom: Morgan Stephens took first place with her Ag Tree and the many branches of Agriculture we have here in Canada. Her branches are labelled with livestock, farming, meat, ranching, barns and fields. Honourable mention goes to Sophie Kearns for her awesome free-hand drawing of a John Deere combine at work in the field… hope that’s just chaff going out the back (for all the non-green supporters, like Rocco ;-).
