We aren’t short on stories based on J.M Barrie’s masterpiece that is Peter Pan. There’s the classic Disney animation as well as live action remakes and origin stories. However, this is something a little different. Pan tells the story of how Peter became the boy who didn’t want to grow up from within the world inside the book. Living a bleak existence at a London orphanage not knowing why his mother left him, 12 year-old Peter (Levi Miller) finds himself whisked away to the fantastical world of Neverland. Not much build-up is needed for this film as Bond has hoards of fans that will be lining up to see him in his next adventure. In the aftermath of Raoul Silva's (Javier Bardem) attack on MI6, a cryptic message sets in motion events that will see James Bond come faceto-face with the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. While Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes, Harry Potter, The Grand Budapest Hotel), the newly appointed M, continues fighting political pressures that threaten the future of MI6, Bond discovers that the only way to unravel the web of conspiracy is to protect the innocent daughter of a powerful enemy. Following a trail from Mexico to Italy, Austria and Morocco, he is forced

to operate outside his comfort zone as he is drawn into a confrontation with an enemy from his past. With the theme song being sung by Sam Smith and Sam Mendes returning as director this is sure to be a hit with new and old fans alike. Release date: 26th October

Highs & Lows for Amigos at Rockingham… There were highs and lows for the Amigos Tequila Flavoured Beer racing team at Rockingham over the weekend (5/6 September). Rising young star Fielding from Chesterfield was racing in rounds 22, 23 and 24 of the MSA Formula Championship and took a superb second place but then spun out of the weekend’s third and final race. Meanwhile, Michael Caine represented Amigos in the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup but had to withdraw from racing on Sunday morning due to a back injury. Michael qualified eighth fastest on Saturday, but was deemed not fit to race the following day. On Saturday, Fielding qualified fourth fastest in the very strong single-seater championship, less than half a second away from

pole position to underline his strong form in pre-race testing. However, he felt he could have been higher still had the session not been interrupted by a red flag. Unfortunately, gearbox problems developed in the first race and restricted Sennan to sixth place. Fielding’s best race was round 23 on Sunday morning when he started from fourth on the grid and battled through to finish second and set fastest lap, reaching the flag just over a second behind winner Ricky Collard. “It was a great race and the car felt very good,” said Sennan after the race. “We made some changes to the car from yesterday and that helped massively. That’s another strong result,” he said after his tenth podium finish of the season. From fourth place on the grid, Fielding was immediately on

the attack in the weekend’s third and final race. Unfortunately, a bold passing move at the first corner that briefly got him up to second place ended with a spin and a bump into the tyre wall and his race was over. Sennan now lies joint third in the championship with Daniel Ticktum, with another six races left to run. The season continues at Silverstone over the weekend of 26/27 September.

Tramway Museum Society… 60th

…celebrates Anniversary. The Tramway Museum Society (TMS) celebrated 60 years on Saturday 19th September at Crich Tramway Village. In 1959, the Society leased and later bought a derelict quarry at Crich, Derbyshire and The Tramway Museum opened to the public in 1961. The event on 19th September saw all serviceable tramcars in operation during the day, including a special guest appearance from the first tram acquired by Tramway Museum Society for £10.00, Southampton 45 . The day also saw the launch into service of Liverpool 869 following its major overhaul, with the tram leading a parade of 1930s tramcars. There was non-serviceable open top tramcars available for photo opportunities outside the depots. To add to the celebration, a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud and the Derbyshire Constabulary Male Voice Choir were in attendance, both also celebrating their 60th

Anniversary this year. Other attractions included a duplicate Book Sale in the Exhibition Hall. Curator, Laura Waters said: “It’s great to be able to share our 60th anniversary with all our visitors and the 19th September was a fantastic opportunity to spend the day riding on a large selection of the tramcars that we have here at the Museum. Liverpool 869 holds a Special attraction for me, as I was given the opportunity to have a go driving it just before we withdrew it from service. It was therefore wonderful to welcome this tramcar back and see it running again at the Museum. We know lots of people were looking forward to having a ride on this tramcar, and it was certainly one of the highlights of the event.” An intensive tram service was be in operation throughout the day, using up to 15 trams in service at any one time. A full provisional timetable is always available on the website at www.tramway.co.uk

Chesterfield Heritage… …at Crich Tramway Village. World War I commemorations have been a focus this year, with global remembrance and tributes to the Great War. Crich Tramway Village is no exception, and with their Great War Home Front event from 13th – 19th July this year, their Curator and Workshop teams set about transforming their Chesterfield 7 tramcar into a replica operational Recruitment Tramcar, showing how trams were used to help with the Great War recruiting process. The new Tramway Tommies and Clippie Girls Exhibition, which the Museum has installed this year, describes the recruiting process in detail, along with how women took active roles on the trams when the army had left the tramways short of staff. The Recruitment Tram runs every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until 29th September this year, so don’t miss the opportunity to see and ride Chesterfield 7 and find out about its history. When not in service the tram will be on display on the depot fan. Laura Waters, Curator said: “We always knew we wanted to do something special to mark how the countries Tramways were involved in the First World War, and whilst we were delving through our Archive here at the Museum, we found some great illustrations and photographs

of the stunning First World War recruitment tramcars. Tramcars were an ideal moving platform from which to recruit men to join the Army, and we thought what better way to interpret this idea and share this unique aspect of tramway history, than to create a replica Recruitment Tramcar for our visitors to enjoy riding on, and learning about. We’ve had a fantastic response to using Chesterfield 7 as our Recruitment Tramcar throughout the year, and it’s great to see our visitors engaging with all the posters, banners and decorations that the tramcar carries, including be wowed by more than 270 metres worth of ribbon that decorates the tramcar. We even recreated an historic spelling mistake on one of the banners, which has created an interesting talking point”. The pub, tearooms and shop also focus on locally sourced products, including a range from Chesterfield. The Red Lion serves Brampton beer from Chesterfield, while Rita’s Tearooms uses honey from Chesterfield. The Forge Gift Shop stocks a range of goods from local artisans and suppliers including honey and sauces from Dad’s Bees, Tea from Northern Tea Merchants and Raggedy Homespun Crafts all based in Chesterfield. ARIES March 21st April 20th You'll have to make a choice between your personal and professional lives as October begins. It's simply not realistic to spend every spare moment at work. You may not realise it, but you cease being productive when you focus for too long on certain tasks. Make more time for fun, even at the risk of irritating your boss. The New Moon on the 13th forces you to become more giving. Lately, you've been so focused on your own needs that you have forgotten those of your best friend, lover, or business partner. You'll have a lovely opportunity to make amends during the second half of the month. Be sure to take your friend to a glittering social event. Keep the spotlight firmly trained on your partner. The Full Moon on the 27th puts a big beauty of a bonus in your bank balance. Use some of this money for a new computer or phone system. Are you already in a relationship? Don't be surprised when your partner gives you a beautiful gift. There has never been a better time for the two of you to go on an overseas trip. The New Moon on the 13th warns against accepting a work assignment. If this offer seems too good to be true, it probably is. offense. The Full Moon on the 27th marks the successful culmination of a job. People will be very impressed with the results. Prepare for an uptick in business as October turns to November. It may be necessary to hire more staff to keep up with all of the orders. CAPRICORN Dec 22nd - January 20th Work will be a tremendous source of pressure at the beginning of October. It's important to have an outlet for your anxieties. Try to get a little exercise each day, even if it's only taking a brisk walk at lunch. Your boss will be able to help if you explain your frustrations. You'll have a marvellous opportunity to uplift and inspire people on the 11th, so long as you push past your initial shyness. The New Moon on the 13th attracts a job assignment that sounds too good to be true. You're better off turning down this offer, as it will involve a lot of work for very little pay. The second half of October will be difficult for work, but wonderful for love. If you're single, sign up for an advanced course on your favourite subject. You're sure to meet someone special this way. The Full Moon on the 27th brings favourable publicity for a creative project.

PISCES February 20th March 20th You'll be very busy with work during the beginning of October. Unfortunately, some friends will resent your absence from parties and get togethers. To add insult to injury, a romantic partner expresses dismay at your jam packed schedule. No matter what you do, it seems to disappoint someone. Your powers of persuasion will be strong on the 11th. This is a good time to explain the situation to your nearest and dearest. The New Moon on the 13th sparks a power struggle over joint finances. You might have to enlist the aid of a lawyer to get money that is due to you. Patience and persistence will win the day. Just keep filling out paperwork and showing up to hearings. Eventually, you will get restitution. The second half of the month is ideal for scheduling a long distance trip. Be sure to check your messages throughout the day on the 27th, when the Full Moon will bring exciting news.

AQUARIUS January 21st - February 19th Vicious rumours will be circulating in early October. Don't jump to any conclusions; wait for the facts to arrive. Relationships could get stressed and strained around the 11th, due to a demanding social schedule. You might want to opt to stay away from big crowds on this day, spending time on a solitary hobby instead. Friends will make a lot of demands on you at this time and it's important to maintain your sanity. The New Moon on the 13th brings disappointing news about a legal matter. It looks like you'll have to cut your losses. Dwelling on your heartache will only compound the problem. Fortunately, an attentive lover is poised to relieve you of some heavy burdens during the second half of October. The Full Moon on the 27th brings a satisfying conclusion to a household or family matter. This is a great time to buy or sell property.
