Tammy After the success of bridesmaids, Melissa McCarthy hasn't really stopped working. Although her efforts since haven't surpassed the 2011 smash, she hasn't done too badly. There's the popular comedy show Mike and Molly as well as a couple of films thrown in too (Identity Thief, The Heat). And now she's back with a new comedy directed by none other than her husband Ben Falcone (What to Expect When You're Expecting, Bridesmaids).

Tammy follows the story of a woman who isn't having much luck at the minute. She writes off her beaten up old car, she gets fired from a dead end job in a burger joint and to top it all she goes home to find her husband in bed with the neighbour. So she packs up and gets going. However there's a problem, she doesn't have a car anymore and she’s broke. Then enters her Grandmother, Pearl (Susan Sarandon) who has the money and the car and is desperate to see Niagara Falls. What comes next is nothing short of an adventure and may be just what Tammy needs. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Although there are sceptics that think classics should stay in the past, there is a good argument for some to be reborn in a sense. The improvement of motion capture technology has come along leaps and bounds in the past 15 years or so. The man who seems to come into these roles is Andy Serkis who most notably played Gollum in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Chesterfield Food and Drink Awards Celebrity Chef Ainsley Harriott announced as host of 2014 Chesterfield Food and Drink Awards TV chef and presenter Ainsley Harriott has been confirmed as the host of Chesterfield's 2014 Food and Drink Awards ceremony. Ainsley hosted the inaugural Food and Drink Awards ceremony last year at Chesterfield College's Heart Space Building and proved such a hit with guests that he has been invited back once more. Commenting on the awards Ainsley said: "I am delighted to be involved with the Chesterfield Food and Drink Awards once again. Miller Homes Launches Summer Of Sport Initiative… …FOR THIRD YEAR RUNNING Miller Homes is once again giving local sports clubs across Chesterfield the opportunity to win a fantastic £500. For the third successive year, the leading UK housebuilder will be encouraging local clubs and organisations within the Midlands to enter the competition by collecting an application form from their local Miller Homes development. To be in with a chance of winning the cash, entrants have to say in no more than 200 words why their sports club deserves to win, how the money will benefit the club and what it will be spent on. Paul Walters, associate director of Miller Homes Midlands, said: “We are delighted to be running our popular Summer of Sport

initiative again. When it comes to supporting local communities we are always keen to get involved – particularly if our support can provide opportunities for education, sport or development. Building great communities is at the heart of our ethos, and we are confident that initiatives such as our Summer of Sport campaign go a long way towards nurturing these.” Competition judges will be looking for examples of how the sporting clubs in each community will make the most out of the donation, for details of how it will directly support the learning and fitness of its members and examples of what new equipment they will be able to buy. A Masterpiece For £50… Local Artist, Keith Arrowsmith, studied at Art College in his youth, but decided to get a "proper" job in order to pay the rent. He kept up his artwork as a hobby, but after retiring decided to try his hand at selling portraits. He found he could provide a product at a quality and price pleasing to people. Using digital photography to capture the character and detail for an accurate portrait, Keith usually arranges a free photo session at the subject's home. Working in oil pastels Keith's striking portraits hang in pride of place in dozens of homes. Unusual pets including ferrets, rabbits and racing pigeons as well as people portraits are to be found in his portfolio. " It's important to capture" that look" of the subject in the photo, and agree the choice with the

customer- that's what I feel makes the difference.. Because it's still my hobby, i take the pictures and deliver a painting free of charge, which means I get to enjoy the reaction to my work" Working with pets can lead to some funny situations..... " A local lady phoned to ask for a portrait of her "pudding". She explained she had several photos of her old cat that might be suitable. On visiting I carefully selected one I could use, I sympathised " It's a pity she's not with us". "Yes it is really".....came the reply......" but she usually comes in for her tea about five." I returned with my camera the next day to find pudding sat in an armchair facing the TV. " She's very skittish and doesn't like men so you'll only get one" explained the owner. I took three identical photos of the immovable pet who was totally engrossed in the TV and the owner agreed it made for a lovely portrait.!"
