Lions j

Lions are the only cats that live in a pack. Households can include up to three males, a dozen females, and their young. All the lionesses in a pack are related, and usually the small females within them stay with the group as they age. Young males however sooner or later leave the group or are driven and determined their own herd.

The lionesses oversee going out to hunt while the males must defend the territory of the pack and its females. Today they are found only in certain places south of the Sahara Desert, except for a very small population of Asiatic lions that survives in the Gir forest of India. Here you have a photo gallery with dozens of images of lions.

Elefants They are mammalian animals, exclusively herbivores whose main characteristic - in addition to their large size - is their long trunk and huge ears. Due to their large size, they also have a very large brain, which is why they are very intelligent animals that are associated with behaviors such as mourning for a loss, association with other members, the use of tools, adoption, play and even self-recognition.

Giraffe These fascinating animals typically roam the open grasslands in small groups of about half a dozen. They can reach between five and six meters high; they live approximately between twenty and twenty-five years. Dominant males are those with the greatest reproductive success.

The gestation period of these animals is more than one year, they only give birth to one specimen per parturition and in a short time they are able to get up and walk. However in 2016 some scientists published a study that states that the genetic differences between giraffe populations indicate the existence of four different species.

Hunters Hunting may have been necessary for human survival in prehistoric times, but today most hunters stalk and kill animals just for the pleasure of it, not out of necessity. Rapid deaths are rare, and many animals suffer prolonged and painful deaths when hunters seriously injure but do not kill them. “Hunting also alters migration and hibernation patterns and destroys families. In the case of animals such as wolves and geese, which mate for life and live in close-knit family groups, hunting can devastate entire communities. (peta.org, s.f.)

Author My name is Anette Urbina, I am 16 years old and I study at the SCJ College in my teaching career. I chose the topic of wildlife because it is a topic that few people know in depth and I would like to expand more on this topic because of the hunters, who because of wealth do not conscientious about the damage they do to both the planet and humanity itself.
