Service Spotlight Columbia High School Division 18

Hi my name is Alyssa Manning and I am part of Columbia High School’s Key Club. Key Club has been making cards to send to hero’s and essential workers during these hard times. I made these thank you cards to send to the hero’s and essential works that are helping to save lives everyday. It is very important to give recognization and appreciation to these hero’s and there is so much as a community or even individually that you can do to spread positivity during these tough times. Key Club has also been making cards for residents in nursing homes who are unable to see their families during these times. It’s very important to spread positivity to everyone because we are all in this together. I encourage everyone to do an act of kindness for someone during these tough times. Even the simplest act can have the biggest impact. Sincerely , Alyssa Manning CHS key club treasurer 2019-2020 CHS key club Vice President 2020-2021

Averill Park High School Division 18 Hi my name is Jeana Monaco and I am a part of Averill Park High School’s Key Club. Our club has made a positive message to show our appreciation for essential workers through these tough times. The sacrifices essential workers make are truly commendable, their hard work and diligence does not go unnoticed. It’s vital for everyone to stick together and to create a positive community to look forward to being a part of. That’s why acts of kindness right now are needed and cherished.

Service Spotlight Division Avenue High School Division 6 Hey! My name is Tarangini Arunachalam and I’m from Division 6, which is in the mid-Nassau County area on Long Island! I belong to the Division Avenue Key Club in Levittown. Although our quarantine has been a little quiet here, my division and I started a service project to give our thanks to our local hospital. It’s important for us to try to help however we can from home, since serving our community is one of the ideals of Key Club. During the last virtual divisional, we made little thank you cards digitally to send to Winthrop Hospital. They are going to be hanging the cards up in the main lobby so the health care workers know that we are always supporting them and are grateful for their sacrifices to keep everyone safe! Even though we are in quarantine right now, I hope our district can still find ways to serve our community!

Recaps Virtual LTC

April/May Divisional

Virtual LTC was such a great experience. It was unfortunate that we weren't able to have it in person, but putting it online and having the different workshops available was great. It could be used by anyone whether you went to LTC or not.

The April/May Divisional was held through emails and was used to communicate and get information from the clubs.
