Diego Diez is only 17 years old but has already achieved a lot in the world of photography and design. At this young age he’s already managed to learn how to operate and control the camera with ease even though he is still in the process of development and search for his own style. Diego has worked with different music bands (Tote King, Zeropositivo...) as well as different media sources covering music festivals. He is currently waiting for 3 new projects of his to be published and, if nothing fails, they will come out before July. Moreover, Diego is working together with Adrian on ‘This is not another stupid Tumblr’, a Tumblr, which they define as a ‘box of pictures, which they find in the net and like’. They are also collaborating on other projects, and most of them are expected to come out this year.

HANNAH MACGIBBON OUT OF CHLOÉ, CLARE WAIGHT KELLER IN After a few months full of changes in the fashion scene, this month a new one has jumped in. In this case, it seems that the French brand, Chloe, has changed its creative director, Hannah McGibbon, for a new one. It seems that former creative director of Pringle of Scotland, Clare Waight Keller, has replaced McGibbon. McGibbon has been working for Chloe for almost a decade, and it has given to the brand its, now characteristic, classic and romantic style. It is possible that the change the designer gave to the brand in the last collection she presented, forgetting about the romantic style and using snakeskins and a 70’s hippy look, which was not so well received by the critics, was what pushed McGibbon out of Chloe. Anyways, it is said that the break up between the designer and the brand has been amicable, and it is a reason of celebration that Keller’s debut collection, presented June1at, has had such good feedback from the experts.
AN ASEXUAL SEX MAGAZINE Stylist Andrew Richardson might not sound familiar to you, but he is the man who, by his work, has influenced the most the things you see in fashion magazines and advertisings, specifically in how highly sexualized it is. He started this trend, nowadays very popular thanks to Carine Roitfeld “at least one nipple” politic in French Vogue, when he launched a sex magazine called “Richardson”, which disappeared six years ago. Now, after all this years, Andrew is re-launching Richardson Magazine turning his eye to the concept of male gaze. Richardson defends that it is not a porn magazine, but he prefers to call it an asexual sex magazine by saying that its point is stimulation, not in terms of orgasm stimulation but debate stimulation. “There’s nothing less sexy than analyzing sex”, he says, and this is why Richardson is not porn at all.

BLAKE LIVLEY AND LEO DI CAPRIO A few weeks ago, the Cannes Film Festival was celebrated and we were able to see many celebrities there, and we also got some surprises. In this case, the story is that, while supermodel Bar Rafaeli was appearing alone in the red carpet, his recent ex boyfriend, Leonardo di Caprio, was sneaking around with Gossip Girl Blake Livley. They were seen aboard a yacht in the French Riviera, accompanied by Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw. In the pictures we have been able to see, they were embracing and laughing together, and they really looked like a formal couple. Later, they both were also seen taking hands and getting out of the hotel together. Rumors about the split between Leo and Bar started when, a few weeks ago, she did another solo red carpet in the MET gala while he was having fun at the Top of the Standard. Now, these rumors are more than confirmed, as well as the new affair between the actor and Livley.
DESIGUAL INSPIRED BY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL The Spanish fashion company Desigual has signed a worldwide agreement with the company Cirque du Soleil. Desigual, has designed a 60 piece collection and a wide range of accessories for women, children and men, inspired in the creative universe of such prestigious cirque. The collection will be presented in a runway in Barcelona next July, and the clothes will be available in stores next fall. Both companies have a lot in common, and both are characterized by having a universal language. For Cirque du Soleil, the designs Desigual has created for this occasion reflects perfectly the fantasy world that the Canadian Cirque creates in its shows. Cirque du Soleis is already working in its next show under the name of Zarkana, and Madrid will be one of the three cities that will host such show. The success of Cirque du Soleil’s shows in Spain is so big that the company is even thinking to establish permanently in the country.

TERRY RICHARDSON AND JESSICA STAM FOR MERCEDES
It’s been a long time since we do not see a supermodel involved in a campaign that has nothing to do with fashion. In fact, this type of collaborations was reserved only to those models whose image was so strong that could push anything up. Well, after a long time of not seeing that, the German brand Mercedes, which produces high profile cars, has decided to take this practice back. And not in a modest way, but hiring two of the most celeb fashion personalities: model Jessica Stam and controversial fashion photographer Terry Richardson. Moving away from its usual campaigns, Mercedes has created a very fashionable advertisement that gives the brand a new look, cooler, more sophisticated and more cosmopolite and chic.

MADRID CELEBRATED THE CREATIONS OF CRISTÓBAL BALENCIAGA Two weeks ago, had place in Madrid a runway event, specifically in the Telefónica Building, dedicated to the brilliant Spanish fashion designer, Cristóbal Balenciaga. Lots of the pieces he created during his career catwalked next to other creations from the greatest Spanish fashion designers from our time. The event went by under the name “Balenciaga, unique creator”, and was organized by designer Manuel de Gotor, unconditional Balenciaga’s admirer and collector of his creations. For one night, Madrid’s Gran Vía became a glamorous catwalk full of wonderful pieces from one of the best designers, not to say the best, out of the Spanish fashion scene. Designer that has given name to one of the most internationally celebrated fashion brands nowadays, which has its headquarters in Paris and is now under the creative direction of Nicolas Ghesquière, Balenciaga.

Emerging Raw Talents
This american fashion designer, who first reached fame by becoming one of the 90’s super models, was born in a small vilage in Utah in 1967. When she was just a young girl who already measured 1.95m, she was discovered in her village by Helmut Newton and right after moved to Paris and found work as a model, where she catwalked for Thierry Mugler and Azzedine Alaïa. Ten years later, and with a wide set of connections thanks to the Paris fashion network, she moved to L.A and started working with photographer Herb Ritts, becoming his muse. In L.A, she started meeting celebrities and stars like Renée Zellweger, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Daphne Guinnes, Sarah Jessica Parker or Michelle Obama, and became their personal stylist. She also worked as a fashion consultant for some movies such as Ocean’s Thirteen or Diabolique, featuring Sharon Stone.
Frequent companion of Mick Jagger, whe describes her as “my main person of interest”, Scott has become so much a Hollywood insider that in 2000, she was hired to coordinate the Oscars, offering fashion advice to stage performers. Before becoming a fashion designer, she had also worked as a stylist for worldwide publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair or Wmagazine, where, in 2009, she already contributed designs for Madonna to wear in her photoshoot with model Jesus Luz. It was in 2007 when she decided to launch her firs fashion collection, and hasn’t stopped since then, obtaining not only an amazing feedback from potential costumers, but also from the critics. Her favourite color is black, and her style can be understood as a mix between dominatrix an victoriana looks. Strapless and really tight dresses, super skinny pants, and tight blazers are a must in all of her collections. Also, the sixties rock legacy is ever present in Scott’s collections. “I like very sexy silhouette and I like to feel like when you put something on, you zip yourself into it and you’re secure in there”, Scott explains. Some people says that what makes Scott succesful is that she is not designing for the many, but for the few, so she is breaking with the democratization of fashion, which had never been a reality until now. Scott, apart from super model, stylist and fashion designer, has also created a make-up line for Lancôme, called “L”, and also designs extravagant jewellery like the 1.400 carat diamond necklace that Kidman wore to the Oscars this year.
