Looking back at Vertical Days
NEW PRODUCTS AND NEW EXHIBITORS MARKED RETURN OF VERTIKAL DAYS
Centred firmly around access platforms, cranes, telehandlers and associated lifting equipment for lifting professionals, Vertikal Days 2022 may have got off to a damp start, but it ended on a sunny note as the weather finally played its part.
With new product launches and the participation of a number of first time exhibitors, the two day event attracted hundreds of visitors to the East of England Showgrounds in Peterborough in May. The show was attended by buyers and company owners representing around 90% of UK and Irish rental companies responsible for more than 80% of all crane and aerial lift purchases in the region. It also pulled in a number of international exhibitors and visitors. Although just eight months since the last show, exhibitors both new and old turned out in force, many with new model launches making their UK, European or worldwide debuts. Another important initiative was also launched at the show, one with the aim of attracting more females into the powered access industry. Driven by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the initiative has been inspired by new IPAF President Karin Nars, who became the first woman elected to the role when confirmed at the IPAF AGM in London in March.
