The high selling bull in Canada in 2008 that we purchased from Sparrow Farms. Sanchez has definitely left his mark on the Charolais industry proving he is one of the easy calving bulls in the breed. His daughters have made him rank in the top 1% of the breed for milk. We have used Sanchez on heifers for many years without any calving problems. It's only fitting that in our 1st Annual Bull Sale we have 8 sons, 7 Grandsons and 4 Great Grandsons that are out of TCC PLD Ginny 40P, the 1st 4-H heifer project that we purchased for our son Colby. And history teaches you something when you see the 5 daughters that we have producing in our program. You quickly realize we were onto a good thing and that we needed to go back and produce more of these magical crosses. In Lots 1 through 3 we are going back to our "roots" by using Merit Vintage 4065P, the first Charolais herdsire that we owned that was purchased from Merit Charolais. By recreating this magical cross, we have also been able to produce a proven outcross pedigree for today's Charolais industry.

CML Distinction 318A is a bull we feel will be an influential herdsire for the Charolais breed. He has everything that we are looking for in a herd bull and we know the values of his pedigree inside out.

We have decided to send this bull to Alta Genetics to have him collected so he will not be at the sale. By sending him to stud early, we should have Canadian qualified semen by the 1st of March and US qualified semen by the 1st of April.
Selling 1/2 interest and full possession. Adjust you sights as it will be interesting to see how you evaluate this August born long yearling. We think he is pretty exceptional but when you are not use to fall born calves and how they are managed differently than calves born in the spring sometimes it is hard to figure out exactly what you have until they are a little older in age. If you are looking for a bull to cover a bunch of cows this spring, this bull is ready for heavy use. For a bull that was born on the grass and has never been handled, he has an exceptional disposition.

Now here is a bull with an interesting twist to his pedigree. He is sired by Sanchez and is out of the dam of Winn Man Lanza, the senior herdsire at Sparrow Farms. This bull is bred to be a calving ease specialist and will have a milk EPD that will be one of the best in the breed. We just had a full sister to him calve the other day with her first calf and she has one of the best udders on the place.
