Gogebic Range Ride and Run Open to All Skill Levels IRONWOOD – Whichever your preferred method of locomotion is – biking or running – hop on the fitness train Sunday, June 5 for the Gogebic Range Ride and Run (GRRR), starting in Historic Downtown Ironwood.

Hosted by the Gogebic Range Health Foundation as a fundraiser, the event features group bike rides, road and mountain rides, and a 5K group run/walk. All group bike rides and run will leave from Depot Park, 150 N Lowell Street, at 1 p.m. Participants will travel at their own pace and desired distance. T-shirts are available for $20. Registration includes the cook-out and some raffle tickets.

The cookout, raffles and music will start at 3 p.m. at Depot Park. For registration or more information, visit runsignup.com/grrr. (A $25 registration fee is required if you will be attending only the fundraising event.)

Two group rides are planned, with all skill levels welcomed. The route for the Iron Belle group ride route will be an out-and-back and will stay on the Iron Belle Trail to the turn-around point at the Ramsay trailhead. The route for the Townee group mountain bike ride will follow the Iron Belle Trail to the cutoff trail toward the Miner’s Memorial Heritage Park. The route will then follow the park trails and return to the Iron Belle Trail. Then the route will go to the Mt. Zion route via Greenbush Road, to the trails at Mt. Zion. Riders will then return to the Depot Park. The route for the Iron Belle Group 5K Run/Walk will be an outand-back on the Iron Belle Trail, returning to Depot Park.
