LES WALKER presented with Diocesan Medal. This Sunday at the 11.15 Mass, Episcopal Vicar for Kent, Fr. Paul Mason will present Les Walker with a Diocesan Award in the form of a Diocesan Medal. This is in recognition of Les’s outstanding service of our Parish Community manifested through his unfailing fidelity to the service of the Altar for more than thirty years. Les was a member of the Guild of St. Stephen and was presented with the medal of the Guild many years ago. Up until very recently, Les was here to serve at all the Masses every week-‐end, at Benediction for the Catholic Women’s Guild and at every funeral. You could always rely on him. He was sure to be there. He was a good instructor for the younger servers and a wonderful inspiration and example for them. He enjoyed a very good relationship with all the Servers who knew him affectionately as ‘Grand-‐Dad’. Sincere thanks to Fr. Paul Mason for being with us today on this very special occasion. Fr. Mark would very much love to be here today but is recovering from his very recent operation. He sends his congratulations and best wishes.
