FEAST DAY: Saturday 25th May - St. Bede the Venerable HOLY GHOST FATHERS (SPIRITANS) APPEAL – There will be an appeal on behalf of The Holy Ghost Fathers over next weekend of 25th/26th May, in support of their mission. This is the annual preached appeal for the Misions. COMING SOON: The Life in the Spirit Seminars: talks on DVD that have helped millions of Catholics worldwide to come to a deeper experience of their faith and a deeper joy in it. We are planning to start on Monday 3rd June and then for the following 5 Mondays. The sessions will run from 7.30 to 9.00 pm. Please see sign-up sheet at the back of church. It is best to try and commit to all the sessions but please do not worry if you can’t do this at this stage. Come along to as many of the sessions as you can. From the very beginning the community members with learning difficulties were known as the “core members” of the communities: Jean Vanier always insisted that he had learned the most profound lessons about life from these core members. One of the first L’Arche communities outside of France was founded in Canterbury, in 1971 and there are now 149 communities in 38 countries. Jean Vanier’s motto was “Stay close to Jesus. Be with the poor.” May his good soul rest in peace. (At the Flame Day in Wembley in February there was a video address from Jean
