DEREK CONNOLLY RIP – Requiem Mass for Derek Connolly will be on Wednesday 19th October at 10.00am. Derek’s body will be received into the Church the evening before at 6.00 pm JOAN MOON RIP – Requiem Mass for Joan Moon will take place on Tuesday 18th October. FR. MALACHY’S DIAMOND JUBILEE OF ORDINATION will take place on Tuesday 13 December. The present proposal is to have Mass celebrated at 6.00pm followed by a reception in the parish hall. Fr Malachy is on holiday in Belfast until 20th October. For those who wish to congratulate Fr Malachy’s sixty years as a priest there will be donation envelopes available soon. The Wednesday Lunch last Wednesday went very well indeed with nearly 30 people attending. The next lunch is on Wednesday November 9th. New members always welcome. Please give your name to any of the priests or Sr Corinne. October is the month of the Rosary – we place special emphasis on the Rosary this month, but it is such an important form of prayer all the year around. Why not try to pray it daily, or at least a decade per day. It is a beautiful way of reminding ourselves of the essentials of Our Lord’s life and of the role of his Blessed Mother. Christmas Fair: December 3rd We would like all your help to make this day a great success. We need new/nearly new goods to sell: BOTTLES, CAKES, SWETS, TOYS etc Please no bric-‐a-‐brac. Fr Mark has three places in his car for anyone who would like to come. PARISH DIARY 2017 The 2017 Parish Diary is now available at the back of the Church. The diary is our gift to you, however it is customary to make a 50p donation to Syria. There will be a Retiring Collection next weekend for World Mission Sunday: all the money collected goes straight to those parts of the world most needing help in the promotion of the faith.
