PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: Would you like to have the chance to help serve the parish by joining the Pastoral Council? We meet monthly and seek to find ways of improving the quality of parish life in all its aspects. Of late we have had the retreat hall kitchen refurbished; we took a major role in overseeing the Parish Mission in February; we have reviewed our list of contact details of parish members. An ongoing concern is to

encourage the New Evangelisation called for by the last three popes. If interested, please speak to any of the parish clergy or to Gerry McWilliams, chair of the PPC ,or any PPC member. FAMILY PRAYER FOR REFUGEES: Whitstable Justice and Peace Group invite you to a time of prayer, music, the sharing of stories and a chance to write messages of hope for refugees. LET’s TALK: Adults: There is a commonly held view that the Church has lost touch with the world – for example, regarding the growing equality of women in our time : should ordination be open for them.Would it affect our idea of the priesthood? Are there other reasons the Church might have for not ordaining women? Should the Church not try to be more up to date? Come and join in the discussion in St Mary’s Catholic Club. Monday 21st November, 7.00pm. All welcome.

FR. MALACHY’S DIAMOND JUBILEE OF ORDINATION will take place on Tuesday 13 December. Mass will celebrated at 6.00pm followed by a reception in the parish hall. Thank you to all those who have handed in donation envelopes – there is still time to contribute if you wish.
