Tea & Coffee-Soft drinks & Biscuits are served after the 9.30am Mass in the hall, all welcome 9.30 MASS Hymns: 286, 287, 268, 267; Anthem: O praise God in his Holiness. Mass Setting: (Joy & Peace) with the Clap Gloria.

A VERY HAPPY EASTER TO YOU ALL!! And many many thanks to all who have taken part in the services, cleaned and decorated the church, and have just been helpful in so many ways. About Fr Charles’s Funeral: As most of you will know by now, Fr Charles died on April 8th. His body will be brought into church at 6.00pm on Thursday 20th. Mass will then be celebrated for him and the music will be provided by the Southwark Diocesan Youth Service Team plus possibly some children from St Mary’s School. His requiem will be celebrated at 12.00 on Friday 21st: V. Rev. Fr John Kearns CP, Passionist Provincial, will be the chief celebrant and Fr Nicholas Postlethwaite CP, classmate of Fr Charles and former Provincial, will preach. If anyone would like to make a donation in memory of Fr Charles, there will be baskets at the back of church following the funeral: all contributions will go to Canterbury Pilgrim’s Hospice. SUMMER EVENT- Thank you to all who joined our first meeting to organise the Summer Event. Our next meeting is on Sunday 7th May in the parish room after the 9.30am Mass. If you were unable to make the last meeting and would like to get involved, please come along and join us on 7th May.

PLATEA: The Spring edition of our parish magazine “PLATEA” has arrived. You will be delighted with it!! If you have a CT6 postcode, it should have been delivered to your door. If this is not the case, please let us know. A sincere word of thanks to all of our deliverers , especially as the time margin was very tight. Could all those who delivered the magazine please bring the address lists back if at all possible and let us know if there any corrections to be made to the lists. THANK YOU.

MASS IN CELEBRATION OF THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE - 17th JUNE 2017 at St George’s Cathedral (Saturday afternoon). If you are celebrating your 1st, 10th, 25th, 40th, 50th, or 60th+ wedding anniversary this year and would like to attend this very special Mass at St George’s Cathedral, where you can renew your vows, please fill in a form available at the back of Church, so that you can receive an invitation from the Archbishop. CHANGES TO LEGAL TENDER DURING 2017- The old £5 note will cease to be legal tender from 5th May 2017. It will not be accepted and can be changed at the Bank of England. The new £1 coin will be introduced on 28th March. The old £1 coin will be accepted until 15th October 2017.
