Twenty Ninth Sunday of the Year (A) 21st – 22nd October 2017 Entrance Antiphon –I call upon you, God, for you will answer me; bend your ear and hear my prayer. Guard me as the pupil of your eye; hide me in the shade of your wings. CHILDRENS LITURGY- This group is open to children aged between 4-9 years (9.30am Mass) term time. NEXT SUNDAY 29TH OCTOBER THE 9.30AM MASS IS THE FAMILY MASS: - Children from the parish will be leading the readings, and bidding prayers. After Mass all the children of the Parish are invited into the Retreat Hall for arts & crafts; along with soft drinks and biscuits/ Tea & Coffee for the adults. All welcome – come along and meet other families. A great way for the children to get to know one another. This Sunday is World Mission Sunday, a day of prayer for the worldwide mission of the Church and an opportunity to support it financially. There will be a retiring collection to support the growth of the Church. ARCBISHOP PETER SMITH: is asking all the parishes of the Diocese to advertise the Catholic Legacy initiative which invites parishioners to consider the needs of the Diocese when making their will. Leaflets at back of church , or have a word with Fr Mark.


TRAIDCRAFT next weekend 28th and 29th October after 6pm and 10.15 Masses. SPECIAL THIS MONTH TASTING OF CHOCOLATES. Come and try! Also Christmas cards on sale. TRAIDCRAFT CATALOGUES are available at the back of the church. Please help yourselves. NOVEMBER DEAD LIST – Mass be offered daily throughout November for those whose names are handed in. The November Dead Lists are available at the back of the Church. Please write the names of those you would like to be included and place in the envelope provided along with any donation. SVP in November will be collecting for this year’s Christmas Hampers to be distributed to the needy in Herne Bay & district areas. Donations for the following would be appreciated- Tea/coffee, Instant gravy granules, Oxo cubes, sage & onion stuffing, tins of ham, fruit, tomato soup, Christmas cakes, puddings, sweets, biscuits & selection boxes - list will be placed on notice board early November. SVP are also holding a fun fundraising night in the Catholic Club on Saturday 18th November, and support and attendance by Parishioners would be much appreciated.

APF RED MISSION BOXES The red boxes are now at back of Church for collection. Thank you to all members and promoters for your continued support for the missions. FATIMA PILGRIMAGE MAY 2018: We are looking at 10-16 May next year. Cost will vary according to total numbers going and is likely to be in the region of £800+. Have a think about it and we will arrange a meeting soon to consider options. £1 – COINS: The old £1 coin ceased to be legal tender on 14/10/17. The old £1 coins will only be accepted at your bank.

TODDLER GROUP ‘LITTLE ANGELS’ - Meets on Tuesdays from 9.30 to 11.30. This successful group are looking for someone to take responsibility for its running. Please contact Sue in parish office. The speaker will be David Wells , one of the most soughtafter speakers in the Church in this country today.

Adoration every weekday: 8.30-9.30a.m. Also Saturday morning, 10.00 to 11.00 with Rosary at 10.45., said for the Parish each week.
