The keynote of these today is COMPASSION: love for the stranger and for those who are poor. Sometimes people have a somewhat negative view of the Old Testament but it is a treasury of wonderful teachings and in many ways prepares us for the wonders of God’s love and care which fill the New Testament. FEAST DAYS THIS WEEK: Holy Day Of Obligation Wednesday 1st November All Saints Day. Masses at 10.00am and 7.00pm. Thursday 2nd November is All Souls Day – a day when we are especially encouraged to pray for our dead relatives and friends. PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: meeting this Wednesday at 7.00pm. The PPC are always open to any suggestions for improving the life of the parish community. SVP in November will be collecting for this years' Christmas Hampers to be distributed to the needy in Herne Bay & district areas. Donations for the following would be appreciated- Tea/coffee, Instant gravy granules, Oxo cubes, sage & onion stuffing, tins of ham, fruit, tomato soup, Christmas cakes, puddings, sweets, biscuits & selection boxes - list will be placed on notice board early November. SVP are also holding a fun fundraising night in the Catholic Club on Saturday 18th November, and support and attendance by Parishioners would be much appreciated.

FATIMA PILGRIMAGE MAY 2018: We are looking at 10-16 May next year. Cost will vary according to total numbers going and is likely to be in the region of £800+.
