You may like to put a donation in the wallbox at the back of church. OUR CHURCH IS ON THE MAP!! Have you spotted the brand-new sign on Avenue Road pointing to the church? This has come about as a result of persevering pressure from the PPC. We are very grateful to KCC. WOULD YOU LIKE TO SIT MORE COMFORTABLY IN CHURCH? We are considering the possibility of putting padded runners on all the benches, not, I hasten to add, because we are planning to lengthen our Sunday sermons (!!!) but because we think that many will welcome the idea. There seemed to be a broad welcome for this over the Masses last weekend but we are still very happy to hear any views you might care to share. PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: Calling for new members!! We try to rotate the membership of the PPC and every two years some members stand down and others join. Members are asked to attend a monthly meeting and to be ready to join a sub-group when the need arises. All that is needed is a desire to help the parish grow and develop and to become a more effective Christian presence in the town. If you would like to nominate someone or if you would like your own name to go forward, please speak to Gerry McWilliams (current chairperson) on 740837 or speak to any member of the parish team. Your parish needs you!!! THE REFUGEE COMMUNITY KITCHEN which has been feeding thousands since 2015 in Calais/Dunkirk is running short of funds: their work is still urgently needed as there are hundreds of mainly young people still sleeping rough. If you would like to donate: google RCK, or Fr Mark will ensure any cash will get there. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR RESPONSE. £500 has been sent off. FORTHCOMING EVENTS
