HOME MISSION SUNDAY: The appeal for Home Mission Sunday will be held this weekend. The purpose of Home Mission Sunday is to provide support for the Bishops’ Conference in their work of evangelisation in our lands – a more important need than ever. APOSTOLATE OF ADORATION: Thank you very much indeed for the very good response to the Appeal last weekend. There will be a meeting this Monday (29th) at 7.00 pm in the Retreat Hall to run through the arrangements. It would be most helpful if all those who ”signed up” last weekend could attend this meeting which we hope will not last much more than one hour. Thank you in advance! If anyone missed the presentation last weekend but is interested in a dedicated hour of Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, you will be most welcome too. HERNE BAY STREET PASTORS: are having a Service in Thanksgiving for their work in the town on SUNDAY NOVEMBER 11th at 6.30pm. The evening is being held at the Beacon Church on Sea St and will include a brief AGM and will conclude with a finger‐buffet Social. All welcome to attend. There is a need for new Street Pastors and also for the Prayer Pastors who pray for the Pastors out on the streets on Friday nights. Several of
our parishioners are involved and they find both roles very fulfilling. Maybe this will strike a chord with some of you???? NOVEMBER DEAD LIST – Mass will be offered daily throughout November for those whose names are handed in. The November Dead Lists are available at the back of the Church. Please write the names of those you would like to be included and place in the envelope provided along with any donation. The Funeral of Margaret Henry will take place on Wednesday 7 November at 10.00 Please remember in your prayers Mary Delaloy, sister of Fr Aidan CP, who died last wekk. FLOWER GUILD: PREPARING FOR THE CENTENARY OF WW1 ON 11 NOVEMBER 2018: Do you have a family member who gave their life for their country during the First World War? Please do share your stories which we would like to include in our commemoration. Please send your story to include Name, Rank, Service, place and date of death – and , where possible, a picture.
