FEASTS DAYS THIS WEEK: Wednesday 21st November The presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thursday 22nd November St. Cecilia. Next Sunday is the Feast of Christ the King. THE BEAUTY AND THOUGHTFULNESS of the decoration of the church for Armistice Day has been very much appreciated by parishioners and visitors alike. Congratulations to the Flower Guild and other helpers – we are all very grateful. APOSTOLATE OF ADORATION: Adoration will be from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00pm every Thursday, commencing on Thursday 22 November. The full list for the day is displayed on the display board near the Confessional. Thank you to all who have undertaken to cover a particular hour and also to those who have put their names forward as reserves. Our thanks too to the following who have volunteered to act as co-ordinators for each of the three sessions of the day, to arrange cover for any absences: Terri Hancock for the morning hours; Linda Thomson for the afternoon; Sue Rawbones for the evening hours. The team that will be in overall charge of the Apostolate are Marian and Peter Green and Dave Kendall. Let us pray that this new venture will prove to be very fruitful for the parish. We will continue to have the hour of Adoration from 8.30 to 9.30 each morning but the extra hours on Wednesday after Mass will cease as of this coming Wednesday. LET’S TALK: Our next session will be this coming Monday at the Sisters’ house on Western Esplanade (no 25) and will explore the Role of the Catholic Family Today: challenges and opportunities Meet at 7.00 pm.
