FEAST DAYS THIS WEEK – Thursday 17th January’ St Anthony ,Monk f the Egyptian Desert. Saturday 19th January St. Wulstan. The Crib Collection will be sent to Friends of the Holy Land who work with poor Christian families in Israel/Palestine. Thank you for your great generosity. FRIDAY 18th is the beginning of the Octave of Prayer for Christian Unity. Sad to say, there is no joint service of prayer organised for the town again this year. This does not stop us praying where we are for the great cause of Unity amongst Christians and we can take some satisfaction that there is good inter-church co-operation with Street Pastors/ Prayer Pastors as well as Christians Against Poverty. The ministers of the various churches meet monthly to share lunch and a time of prayer and the congregations do unite for the Walk of Witness on Good Friday but there is definitely something very important missing if the Christians of the town cannot come together at least in Christian Unity Week to proclaim our common faith in Jesus Christ and share a time of prayer and worship in his Name.
