This project is about developing a practical process for the effective implementation of Pope Francis’ vision, outlined in Evangelii Gaudium, for transforming our parishes into responsible, evangelising communities. Today is Sea Sunday, when the Church prays for all those who live & work at sea. Without them we wouldn’t have most of the items we buy in the shops. This is, the Church’s official maritime welfare agency. Supporting seafarers both practically and spiritually. This annual collection is absolutely vital to enable it to continue its work, so please give generously & remember seafarers in your prayers. Thank you. For more info. see poster on board. Tony Jose: I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Fathers Patrick, Charles, Malachy and Deacon Barry together with the choir for the wonderful Requiem Mass that was offered to celebrate Mary's life. It was a truly uplifting experience. Also to thank the many members of the parish who came to give their support and the many Mass requests for Mary that were received. I am truly grateful.

Entrance Antiphon In my justice I shall see your face, O Lord; when your glory appears, my joy will be full. FEAST DAYS – Monday 11th July St. Benedict 480 -­‐547. Founded the Benedictine Order at Subiaco & Montecassino and wrote his Rule for the Monastic Life. Known as ‘the Father of Western Monasticism.’ St. Benedict is Patron Saint of Europe. Saturday 16th July Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This feast commemorates the apparition of Our Blessed Lady on July 16th, 1251 to St. Simon Stock, the first General of the Carmelite Order. Wearing the ‘Brown Scapular’, a symbol of the Carmelite habit, is a sign of trust in Mary’s maternal help. Our lady of Mount Carmel is the Patroness of sailors. She is always our sure haven in the midst of the storms of life. MOTHER’S MASS – A shared Mass will be celebrated at the National Shrine of St. Jude at The Carmelites, Faversham in honour of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel & all mothers on 15th July at 11.00am. If you would like to include a Mother, Grandmother, expecting Mother, or someone hoping for a child, please see leaflets at the back of church.
