Process overview: Case study 1 Case study 2 Colline Notre Dame du Haut - Le Corbusier Why this form? Easily stacked each display panels horizontal & vertical Simple container where soil can be place inside the geometry From inspiration from Notre Dame Use light to display the soil Organic shape where each individual piece can plug in and out to form the overall geometry The geometry can be use for soil display Light as a variable 360 Arch. models ideas | architecture model, concept architecture, architecture design. experiment: Colorful soil dye by streptomyces show case its level of contamination.
experiment: Streptomyces has different smell under different soil condition.
3
Visual experiment: Plants growth condition might change as the contamination is reduced by streptomyces.

Sensory experiment:
Design intension:
Allow visitors to interact with the installation through sensory experiment (visual, odor)
Issue with this design: Geometry: the method for display can be improve. The design doesn’t clearly represent the topic of soil. There are too many elements going on. The purpose needs to be simplified.
4
Geometry:
Inspired by Le Corbusier Notre dame de haut’s window frame design. The design is composed of group of rigid containers to create the overall structure. The opening are design to control the amount of sunlight.
Sensory experiment:
Each individual container use streptomyces bacteria as a “natural dye”, where it create different color and texture when react to different heavy mental.

Nowadays we want to rule nature and forgotten that we are dependent on her.
We are already paying our consequences through the hostile approach to the living environment.
We need to respect nature, and think about other alternatives that would be less harmful for our planet. And be mindful what we are inputing into our environment.

Result:
• Non-fired clay break easily when exposed to water.
• The material is not ideal for moss growth.
