Lauryn Assata Ford-Youth of the Month December Youth of the Month is Lauryn Assata Ford. Lauryn is 10 years old. She is in the 5th grade at Osan American Elementary School. She’s been living in Korea for 2 years and she loves rice cakes and seafood. Her favorite activity at the Youth Center is to sing Karaoke and do art projects! Lauryn loves to read. Her favorite book of all time is called “Fudge-a-Mania” by Judy Blume. Lauryn wants to be an author when she grows up. We can’t wait to read your books Lauryn!!

Transition GPS Workshop

Monday-Friday, 30 Nov-4 Dec & 14-18 Dec 0830-1630, Mustang Center, Bldg. 1313 This mandatory workshop is open to all branches of service as it prepares retiring or separating military members and their families for the transition from military service to a civilian career. This workshop covers Military Occupation Codes (MOC) Crosswalk, personal finances, job searches, resume writing and Veterans’ Affairs (VA) benefits including health and education, benefits, home loans and much more. Dress is civilian business casual.

Personal finance 101, mandatory class at the A&FRC for all first duty station officers and recommended for all other junior officers.

INFORMED Bundles for Babies

Tuesday, 8 December, 0900-1200 A workshop for expectant parents who want to learn more about parenting and support programs here at Osan. The class also offers you a finance piece that focuses on budgeting for your new baby from conception to college years and a chance to meet other new parents. Additionally, you’ll receive a free “bundle” from the Air Force Aid Society.
