We have concentrated on building a quality herd, with an emphasis on efficient, easy-keeping cattle that produce offspring with superior carcass quality. We are happy to participate in the Limousin Advantage Sale along with our fellow Limousin breeders. As our farm name suggests we are a partnership and also farm in partnership with Lawrence’s brother William and his family. William’s son Brady completed his first 4-H Beef project this past year and showed his steer at the Oak Lake 4-H Beef Club achievement. We are very proud of him. L&S have sponsored a judging class at the Virden & District 4-H Inter-club Show & Sale for many years. Our entire herd is enrolled on the CLA Herd Enrollment Program under which we have attained Platinum Herd status. We implement a full health program and our cattle are overwintered on a corn/barley silage ration supplemented with hay. We have put bull calves on test at Douglas Bull Test every year that Limo bulls have been tested there and in years previous to that sent bulls to other test stations in Manitoba, Nebraska and Alberta. We have been fortunate to have had the highest indexing Limousin bull on test numerous times. Bulls that are kept at home are sold in the Diamond T Annual Bull Sale in late March. We went to the heart of our herd for our sale selections and are offering females we part with reluctantly. The three females catalogued are members of one of our largest and most productive cow families. We know they will go on to be herd builders for their new owners. We strive to produce the best polled genetics we can and supply our customers with useful, profitable and productive cattle.

We began our venture approximately 30 year ago and continue to operate Triple R Limousin with the help of Scott, Larissa and family, with Scott being herdsman as well as taking responsibility for most of the on farm duties. It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we at Triple R Limousin are able to sponsor the M.L.A. Advantage Sale. We were introduced to the Limousin Breed of cattle in the early 80’s, and it didn’t take long before our tiny herd of 10 grew to 180 cow-calf pairs, of which 135 are purebred, with a large number also being polled. Over the years we have used several A.I. Sires, and have done some embryo work as well. We have also purchased several animals from the top of their offerings from across Canada and the U.S.A. We’ve also exported as far as Uruguay. Art & I have both, also served on the M.L.A. Board over the years and have been proud sponsors of different Limousin functions. The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, and wire transfers, payable at par at the sale location unless satisfactor y payment arrangements have been made prior to the sale with sel ler, buyer and Manitoba Limousin Association. The M.L. A . reser ves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sal e cattle. Payment in full must be made before cattle can be released. Exchange rates will be announced sale day and the sale will be held in Canadian funds. BIDDING: All animals to sell through the sale must be sold by auction with each animal selling to the highest bidder. DISPUTES: In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in the dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person fro m whom the auctio neer accepted the last bid and the auctioneer ’s decision will be final. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any announcement from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale are at t heir own risk. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: A registration certifi cate issued by the Canadian Limousin Association and a certifi cate of registr y duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after final payment has been made for registered animals.
