The colour of the font changes as it goes along starting with a strong orange and spreading to white on the right.it follows the rule of thirds filling the whole top section of the magazine. It sets the colour scheme of the page. The house style is white, grey and orange. Some words are in bold some aren’t, there is use of drop caps and there is a change in font size, there use of caps lock extensively. The talks about a few notable events of what happened in their life and sometimes they had with the band, there was a brief of explanation at the time setting who them and what they have done in their life. It mentioned time they got lost and the times they performed on Radio 1. The image The image connotes the life style and the style of their music and their mod like look, the direct mode of address much like the cover of times, looks like they are looking at the reader, it kind of has the eyes that follow, much like the Kitchener posters in the war. The gap between them is a nice smooth fit for the text and aesthetically it doesn’t draw away from the text. The setting tends to
show there laid back attitude and there 60 like attitude, this is emphasised by the long and hair and mod clothes. The poses they are making also fits this, the style reflects the text and makes sense with it. Masthead The mast head is effective because it is simple and yet quite powerful, there are bisexual connotations in the title, the best of both worlds could be referencing the both genders, because it is a popular way of describing. This would probably be some juicy gossip for the readers to read and it would grab their attention. The colours also compliment the meaning of the masthead and represents that, it is also very visually appealing and has a nice blend with the colours. It follows the rule of thirds with the orange in the top left. House style The house style although not to in your face is effective because it is simple and not too much, this again reflects the more chilled out casual style of the magazine. At some points you miss where you read because of it blending in.
