Magazine & Poster Feedback
Magazine Feedback Commendations and improvements Person A: Thinks the masthead is very aesthetically pleasing, thinks that the positioning of the information is very effective, Good use of image suggests the genre very well. Doesn’t think that the colour scheme works very well but think that It does fit the genre. Person B: The Mast Head is very individual and fits other magazines they have seen. The use of “The Ultimate Horror Magazine” was very catchy and defiantly shines a good light on the product. Thinks that the pop up in the left hand corner looks slightly out of place. Person C: Enjoys the look of the masthead and thinks it is positioned very effectively. Thinks that the additional information is very relevant to the product. Thinks that the background distracts from the image but that might be because of the text. Person D: The positioning of the selling line is well placed, likes the break of convention because most magazines include the selling line above the masthead rather than bellow. Thinks that the general aesthetic is effective. Thinks that “The Few” doesn’t stand out enough to be seen properly on a store front. Person E: Enjoys the magazine cover and thinks that it flows very well, with the right side and then moving from the left side, much like reading a book. Thinks that the masthead doesn’t look 3d even though its embossed.
Poster feedback Commendations and Improvements Person A: Thinks that the poster is very minimal but that is a good thing because it is reserved about what it tells the audience about the film. The Logos and billing line look slightly out of place Person B: The Lighting in the image is very effective because it helps bring out the blood more on the hands and face, also thinks the makeup is very effective and defiantly is very conventional of the horror genre; The Mast Head is slightly sharp. Person C: The image is very effective and connotes danger and horror and is something they typically see in posters, but thinks that the Anchorage text is a different shade from the Masthead. Person D: The Logos in the bottom part of the poster is typically something they see in posters and shows an identity to the poster; thinks that the image brings away from the text and cant decide if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. Person E: Enjoys the poster as a whole because it is effective and feels that it related well to the horror genre, but feels that the colours do clash.
