Second DPS Drafts
Good Points • The background is very effective and helps bring out the text • The use of black and white text in the first and second drafts are very effective with the background and clearly show a change between question and answer. • The images work well in the position but maybe not that image in particular Bad Points • The image can be clearly seen to be cut and the corners stand out, also the text doesn’t wrap around the image • The images don’t seem quite right because even though the front is lacking a direct mode of address I feel that I would need to include a direct mode of address
Final Choice • The reasons I chose this as my final product is because of the image and the now use of direct mode of address that was lacking in the other images • The overlapping of the image and the border is effective with the white overlapping the image because of it; makes it have a glossy look and appear much more professional • The text bordering round the image rather than being separate makes the image more obvious and highlights it more • The use of a pull quote is effective because it helps half the text and makes it seem like there isn’t as much text • The masthead is very obvious and is a better position than the first two drafts; making it more central and increasing white space
