Second front cover drafts

Good Points • The first image uses the background effective, as does the third image. It nicely contrasts with the black and white giving many different positive connotations, it also adds a sense of mystery because of the mystery using the black and white • The second and third image are better used as titles; than the first one because of the style and appropriateness to the magazine Bad Points • The second image is lacking the blue background that is appropriate to the feature article title • The first image uses an effective masthead but it is not appropriate to the magazine and seems to much like clash magazine, and even though I am drawing inspiration from them I am also not trying to copy there every detail, as a standalone title its effective

1st Image The first image is the more effective of the two images because of its layout, style, relevance and title. The layout is better because it looks more aesthetically pleasing and it also uses up more of the space. The title is better used because its less like clash magazine and more a standalone title. The relevance of the blue background is important because of the feature article. 2nd Image The second image although a good draft is not the one I will be using as my main product, this is because I feel that the masthead is not relevant to the product and that its too far away from what I originally intended with the magazine; there is a lack of border and this makes the magazine look more cluttered and less enclosed, also the border on the 1st image makes it look more professional and proper. The layout of the second magazine is less organised and leaves a big white space which isn’t very effective.
